The magazine "Il Giornale dei Misteri" apparently reported in a 1980 issue that October 7, 1978 in San Cataldo, Caltanisetta, Sicily, Giuseppe Raimondi, 13-year-old schoolboy, and her aunt, returned from the countryside by car and had to stop because of a flat tire.

After changing the tire, they could not start again. 15 meters above the car there was a silver disc resembling a "plate turned upside down", 20 meters in diameter approximately, which emitted a very sharp gleam.

In its lower part, there was a kind of "transparent door", where three or four silhouettes passed.

The sighting lasted 5 to 10 minutes, then the object went away fast while doing a buzzing sound.

The woman was terrorized and the young boy simply astonished.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in San Cataldo, Italy, on October 7, 1978, at an unknown time, a student traveling by vehicle had to stop to fix a flat tire. As he attempted to drive away the vehicle would not start, then he noticed a bright silvery object similar to a disc shaped craft, hovering nearby. The object emitted a strong light from its bottom. It had a transparent viewing window and three to four human like figures were seen moving back and forth inside. Moments later the object departed at high speed emitting a roaring sound.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Maurizio Verga, 'Itacat'".

The website indicates that on October 7, 1978, at 16:00, in San Cataldo, Italy, a "20m diameter silver disc 15m" was over car. "3-4 figures seen moving around behind transparent door." Occupants of the craft were seen. "One silver disc, about 80 feet across, was observed by two witnesses on a highway for over six minutes. Three silhouetted beings were seen."
