Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Albert Rosales indicated circa 2007 that ufologist Clas Svahn told of a case that took place on September 16, 1978, in the afternoon, Sundsvall, Medelpad, Sweden:

Jeanette Eklof, aged 18, was jogging in the outskirts of Sundsvall when a light in the woods attracted her attention.

Approaching the light, she saw that it was an "object", 2 meters high and 1.5 meters wide.

Suddenly, she saw a dark human-looking figure moving out from the left side of the object. She also heard low noises from the area where the figure had disappeared to.

Frightened, she ran home and told her mother, but later, when the two women arrived at the site they found no trace.

18-year old Jeanette Eklof was jogging in the outskirts of Sundsvall when a light in the woods attracted her attention. Approaching the light she saw that it was an object, two meters high and 1.5m in width. Suddenly she saw a dark figure moving out from the left side of the object. The figure looked like a human. Jeanette also heard low noises from the area where the figure had disappeared to. Frightened she ran home and told her mother. When the two arrived at the site later they could not find any traces.

The website indicates that on September 16, 1978, around 1900, in Sundsvall, Sweden, there was a case with traces and an occupant: "a hovering object was observed. Occupants of the craft were seen. Ground traces were found. One object, about 10 feet across, was observed by one female 18-year-old witness in a forest for 30 seconds (Eklof)."

The sources are indicated as UFO Information Sweden.

Points to consider:

As there is no mention in any other source I was able to browse, I suppose Clas Svahn informed Albert Rosales directly about this case. I know Clas Svahn as a serious ufologist, so the report is probably not an ufologist's invention.

However, the report is very short and the information quite insufficient (See the List of Issues below) to make it a "good" case or to be sure is was not an invention by the witness, or some confusion. The "UFO occupant" is said to be a human, after all, and the "UFO" shows nothing particularly outlandish, it apparently was not seen "flying", for example.

So, I suspect that it is quite possible that this was a landed helicopter and its pilot. Or maybe even some ordinary ground vehicle and its driver.
