Ufologists Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos and Fernandez Peri reportedly noted in their 1987 book that in Fuzeta, Algarve, Portugal, on August 1978, at 11:30 p.m., at a place called "The Fisherman's Quarter", several children that were playing outside saw a bright metallic object land nearby.

Several tall human-like figures wearing gray coveralls emerged and walked briefly around the object.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Fuzeta, Algarve, Portugal, on August 1978, at 2330, at a place called "The Fisherman's Quarter" several children that were playing outside saw a bright metallic object land nearby. Several tall human like figures wearing gray coveralls emerged and walked briefly around the object. Around the same time there were many other sightings by locals of objects approaching the ground, usually coming in from the ocean.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Ballester Olmos, Fernandez Peri Enciclopedia De Los Encuentros Cercanos Con Ovnis."

The source indication is a broken link.

Points to consider:

The lack of data and other issues - listed low - are terrible in this case.

I wish the shape was given, the dimensions, if it was noisy or silent, if it carried identification marks, if it had a rotor etc.

The description of the occupants is also poor. They are "human like", Exactly human? Or only evoking the human silhouette?

Let's add to that it was in the night, that the observation distance is by no means stated - is "nearby" 10 meters, 100 meters, 500 meters? - that the witnesses are children, perhaps very young, that thre were talks of UFOs in the area. So it is a possibility, without being a certainty, that very young kids saw in the dark of night a helicopter land in the distance, with its crew, and having heard about UFOs from adults, they thought they saw one.
