MAY 22, 1978, TAVARNUZZE, FIRENZE, ITALY, MR. AND MRS. LI PUMA:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

The CUN blletin "Notiziario UFO" for January 1979 apparently told that on May 22, 1978 at 09:45 p.m. in Tavarnuzze, Firenze, Italy, Mr. and Mrs. Li Puma were on their premises, heard their two dogs bark, went outside, and saw two or three small luminous spheres at approximately 1.80 meters of the ground, close to a turn on the road near two cypresses.

Their apparent diameter was approximately 30 centimeters, they ignited and died out alternatively while emitting an intense gleam which changed from a red color to a color of metallic aspect.

These spheres approached the couple, and when Mr. Li Puma was releasing one of his dogs, they saw two dark silhouettes at the edge of the road, one nearer to them than the other.

The nearest silhouette is described as resembling a human but of very small size. The most remote was close to a bush. Both carried a dark red cape.

The witnesses, or the wife, heard a "strident voice" similar to that of a child, and little time later the characters "disappeared".

When a car passed by on the road, the spheres "disappeared" to only reappear when the car had "disappeared". The objects started to move, two of them "disappeared", the third took off vertically and quickly.

The duration of the observation was 15 minutes.

Two days later, Mrs. Li Puma observed the same phenomenon, but without the entities, and only during a few minutes.

Maurizio Verga indicated in the "Lumières Dans La Nuit" magazine that on May 22, 1978 at 09:45 p.m. in Tavarnuzze (Firenze), Mr.

Two days later, Mrs. Li Puma observed the same phenomenon, but without the entities, and only during a few minutes.

[Ref. mt1:] MORELLO TAMBELLINI:

The author indicates that as they were in their house the "Li puma" couple heard in the evening of May 22, 1978 around 09:45 p.m., their watchdogs start to bark. heir insistence forced the Li Pumas to get outside to check what was going on.

When outside, they observed on the road near a turn some luminous reddish spheres flying approximately 1.80 meters above the ground.

At this time Mr "Li puma" released the most ferocious of the dogs to see how it would react, but suddenly he noticed among the fire of the spheres two dark silhouettes similar to humans but small like dwarves. They wore a kinf of dark red coat and walked at a distance one from the other.

Suddenly the lady heard a strident voice like that of a child.

Meanwhile the lights had disappeared and the humanoids volitilized little before the passage of a car.

The source for the case is indicated to be the C.U.N. archive.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Tavarnuzze, Italy, on May 22, 1978, at 2145, a married couple was in their living room with their daughter when they suddenly began hearing the dogs barking wildly. They went outside to investigate and saw two or three luminous pulsating spheres descending over the area, their color changed from reddish to silvery. One of the spheres descended very close to the ground. The frightened witnesses began untying the dogs when they observed near the sphere a short dark figure and another similar figure inside. Both were very short. One of the figures stepped forward and stood near the road, while the other one stood by a bush. The witnesses then heard a shrill voice, resembling that of a child. Both figures wore dark red cloak like outfits. One of the figures suddenly vanished and as a vehicle drove by the sphere apparently dimmed. When the vehicle left the sphere was seen rising vertically away from the area.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Maurizio Verga, 'Itacat'."

The website indicates that on May 22, 1978, at 21:45, in Tavarnuzze, Italy, there was a "close encounter with a an unidentified craft and its occupants. One object was observed by one witness named Lipuma in a yard for over four minutes."

"A married couple was in their living room with their daughter when they suddenly began hearing the dogs barking wildly. Points to consider:

Could the name "Li Puma" be a misprint for "Di Puma"?
