2 Apr. 1978, East Coast Bays Road, 2030 hrs: Ms. Robinson was riding a motorcycle when she noticed a wedge_shape with lights on it. It stopped about 200 m away. There were two figures clearly visible peering at her. These were visible from the waist up and seemed to be wearing dark robes. A car appeared after several minutes and the object moved away. (Auckland Star, Apr. 3, 1978)
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in East Coast Bays Road, New Zealand, on April 2, 1978, at 2030, the witness was riding his motorcycle when he saw a wedge shaped object with lights hovering about 200 meters away. There were two figures clearly visible looking at the witness. These were visible from the waist up and appeared to be wearing dark robes. Another car arrived and the object rose and left.
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Keith Basterfield, Mufon UFO Journal #177."
The website indicates that on April 2, 1978, at 20:30, in Auckland, New Zealand, "an object was observed. Occupants of the craft were seen. One disc was observed by one single female witness on a road for a few seconds (Robinson)."
The web sites files the case as a CE3 and indicates the sources as Webb, David, HUMCAT: Catalogue of Humanoid Reports; Aerial Phenomena Research Organization, APRO Bulletin, APRO, Tucson; International UFO Reporter, International UFO Reporter, CUFOS; SATCU, Xenolog, Timaru, ISBN:0-8092-3121-2.
Points to consider:
Since the entities were not visible under the waist, it was not really possible to say that they wore "robes".
