The Michigan MUFON website apparently published a report according to which in Green Oak Township, Michigan, on February 8, 1978, around midnight, as dozens of independent witnesses watched maneuvering objects over the area, some described as huge and oval shaped, John and Clara Cassim were coming back from visiting friends when they saw a machine sitting in a small clearing off the road, that looked like a very big light bulb resting on four legs.

Three humanoid figures appeared out of nowhere and climbed into the object; which started to glow very bright and rose straight up.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Michigan UFO Central."

Points to consider:

"Michigan UFO Central", the meager source reference by [ar1], can refer to one of the two web adresses of the MUFON Michigan website. The older address was mimufon.com, but the website disappeared and I did not find the case in the files that I archived. currently the address is mimufon.org, with a different content, and I did not find this sighting report there, and did not find it in the MUFON Case Management System either. So probably it was at mimufon.com in a page that was removed or not archived. Of course I looked for other sources but found none.

With the very little information given, it is not possible to exclude that it was some helicopter and its crew, and with the lack of investigative corroboration, it is not impossible that the report was just made up.
