MARCH 14, 1976, LIRIA, VALENCIA, SPAIN, A COUPLE:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Third parties sources report that ufologist Ignacio Benvenuty Cabral, of the CIFE, Sevilla, noted that on March 14, 1976, at approximately 09:45 p.m., a couple was returning home by car on the road from Liria to Olocau, in the province of Valence, in Spain, when they saw a humanoid silhouette that moved on the left side of the road, in the direction of their displacement.

The silhouette had two small lights on both sides at the top of its head, was of average height, rather high, and carried a dark suit, glossy, tight in the legs and convex from the belt to the neck like the "Michelin Man", this part of its body being very bulky. Its suit seemed to be like coveralls of only one part, and also covered the head in a very tight-fitted manner. No helmet nor diving-suit were observed, its face could not be detailed.

It had the arms stuck to the body and the fists closed, and did not walk but moved with joined feet and while dandling itself, floating on the edge of the road.

When the couple was going to pass it, the lighting system of the car broke down, or dimmed, depending on the source.

Another source adds that a cloud of dust could be seen directly below the entity's feet, and that right before seeing it, the couple had seen a bright oval shaped area of light hovering on the side of the road, a few hundred meters before they encountered the figure.

[Ref. am1:] ANTONIO MOYA CERPA:

The Spanish ufologist reports that on Sunday, March 14, 1976, at approximately 09:45 p.m., a couple returned on their premises by car on road from Liria to to Olocau, in the province of Valence, in Spain, when they saw a humanoid silhouette that moved on the left side of the road, in the direction of their displacement.

When the couple was going to pass it, the lighting system of the car broke down and "they had to abandon it later."

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Liria and Olocau, Valencia, Spain, on March 14, 1976, at 09:45 p.m., a couple driving on their way home were between Liria and Olocau when they saw, on the right side of the road, a medium tall figure approaching in their direction.

He wore a tight fitting, shiny but dark outfit, with rolls or bulges from the waist to the neck, similar to the Michelin Man. It appeared to be dark blue in color, extending over the head in a tight hood. No features could be observed.

The figure held his arms close to his side, and did not move his legs as he moved along, but appeared as if floating just over the surface of the shoulder, a cloud of dust could be seen directly below him.

As the couple passed the figure, the car lights dimmed to the point where they were almost extinguished.

Right before seeing the strange entity, the couple had seen a bright oval shaped area of light hovering on the side of the road, a few hundred meters before they encountered the figure.

Albert Rosales indicates that his source is Ignacio Benvenuty Cabral, of the CIFE, Sevilla.

The primary source, which is not available to me, might clarify certain aspects one way or another, in particular the question of knowing whether a UFO was observed or not.
