Sensationalist author of UFO books Gray Barker reported in 1977 in a special UFO issue of the Saga magazine that the newspaper La Nacion indicated that on March 3, 1976, near Refrigerio, Brazil, at 04:00 p.m., Francesco Ojeda, aged 12, was walking home from school in a wooded area, when he came upon a clearing and saw a shiny round flying saucer of 40 feet in diameter posed on a some sort of small metal platform.
Two beings, less than 5 feet tall, in shiny suits, were apparently making repairs. When they saw Ojeda, they entered the craft, some devive rorated and flashed some light, knocking him partially unconscious.
The boy vaguely recalled having been taken aboard, his clothes were removed, he was put on a table under a bright amber light.
A telepathic voice reassured him of no harm and said that "We are coming here in great numbers to visit your planet."
The boy was later found by his parents guided by his dog, blind and with a "sunburn," wandering one mile from his house. The following day he could see again, and he told them what had happened to him.

[Ref. bh1:] ROBERT E. BARTHOLOMEW AND GEORGE S. HOWARD:
The authors indicate that on March 3, 1976, near Refrigerio, Brazil, at 04:00 p.m., Francesco Ojeda, aged 12, was walking home from school in a wooded area. He came upon a clearing and saw a shiny round craft of 40 feet in diameter sitting on a small metal platform. Two beings, less than 5 feet tall, in shiny suits, were apparently making repairs.
When they saw Ojeda, they entered the craft, a blinding light hit him, knocked him partially unconscious.
He vaguely recalls being taken aboard, having his clothing removed and being placed on a table under a bright amber light.
A telepathic voice reassured him of no harm, then said, "We are coming here in great numbers to visit your planet."
The boy was later found by his parents, blind and with a "sunburn," wandering one mile from his house. The following day he could see again.
The authors indicate that the source is Gray Barker in UFO Report 4, number 2, of June 1977, quoting La Nacion.
[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Refrigerio, Ceara, Brazil, on March 3, 1976, at 04:00 p.m., Francesco Ojeda, 12, was walking through the woods on his way home from school when, in a clearing, he came upon a shiny circular object about 40 ft in diameter, resting upon a metallic platform.
Two persons in shiny suits, less than 5 feet tall, stood beside the machine, apparently making repairs.
When they saw the boy they leaped into the UFO through an open port, which closed after them; then a device on top of the saucer rotated and flashed an intense light at the boy, blinding him. He fell to the ground, semi conscious. He hazily remembered being taken inside the object, where the occupants stripped him and placed him on a table under a huge amber light. "In his head" he heard a voice assuring him that no harm was intended, and adding, "we are coming here in great numbers to visit your planet."
Some time later, guided by his dog, his parents found Francesco in the woods a mile from the house, crying and wandering aimlessly; he was blind and all of his skin was reddened as if from sunburn. The next morning he recovered his sight, and told what happened to him.
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Gray Barker, in Saga UFO Report 6-77.
[Ref. dj1:] DONALD JOHNSON:
This ufologist indicates that on March 3, 1976, at 04:00 p.m., a boy named Ojeda, aged 12, saw a 40 feet in diameter shiny disc in a clearing in the forest in Refrigerio, Brazil, posed upon some type of metallic platform.
Two beings in shiny suits, less than five feet tall, were seen outside making repairs. Blinded by a flash of intense light, Ojedo was captured and taken aboard the craft.
The beings communicated with the boy using telepathy, and gave him a physical exam on an exam table.
He had skin burns resulting from the flash of light.
The author indicates that the sources are David F. Webb and Ted Bloecher, HUMCAT: Catalogue of Humanoid Reports, case A1465, citing Gray Barker, UFO Report, June 1977, p. 37.
It is apparent that all the sources go back to the sensationalist author Gray Barker, known for his unashamed mix of the treue and the invented in his ufological productions.
It would be thus be quite daring to see any credibility to the history, which, if it really existed, is in any event told by a child like as only witness, and does not seem to have been the subject of any checking or investigation to my knowledge.
