SEPTEMBER 1974, GIBSONIA, PENNSYLVANIA, USA, A YOUNG COUPLE:
Brief summary of the event and follow-up:
US ufologist Stan Gordon wrote in 1975 in the MUFON ufology magazine Skylook that in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, on September 1974 in the evening, a young couple were driving down a back road when they saw a tall figure of human shape, dressed in a silvery metallic suit, standing by the road.
As the couple approached, he raised his hands, in which he held a cube shaped object. From that object, a beam seemed to emanate, and the car lights and engine failed.
An hour and a half later a similar incident occurred nearby to a man in a truck.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, on September 1974 in the evening, a young couple were driving down a back road when they saw a tall figure of human shaped dressed in a silvery metallic suit; he stood by the road and as the couple approached he raised his hands, in which he held a cube shaped device.
A beam seemed to emanate from the device and the car lights and engine failed. An hour and a half later a similar incident occurred nearby to a man in a truck.
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Stan Gordon, Skylook # 89.
Points to consider:
It is regrettable that not much information is currently available to me on this case; which shows a rather unimpressive degree of strangeness and the of a UFO sighting.
Because there is not enough information, it is not possible to do more than to propose that the couple either met an extraterrestrial being that blocked their car using some unknown advanced technology; or that someone dressed in aluminum foil played a trick at them with a flashlight and had the driver involuntarily stall the car under fear.
