William K. Allan, an APRO member ufologist in Canada, investigated a close encounter of the thrd kind case that took place in the suburbs of Rosedale, in the province of Alberta, on June 7, 1971.
Miss Esther Clappison, a woman of average age, who had a house there with her brother Bill, was attracted during on this moonlit night by a light which penetrated through a window of her house from a field. She went outside and moved towards the road accompanied by her dog "George", and there, she saw a luminous object of a rectangular form posed on the ground. A part of the apparatus seemed to have been open, revealing an interior illuminated by an opaque light of diffuse white color.
Miss Clappison recovered from her initial fear when she observed two forms of human appearance which moved inside the object. When her eyes were accustomed to the darkness, she noticed a third being out of the UFO, being in the field.
The beings seemed to carry very tight-fitting uniforms, made of a material of green color similar to the divers' suits. She could not distinguish the facial characteristics of these characters because their heads were covered by the same material as that their bodies.
She said that the side of the apparatus was occupied over all its width by something resembling a control panel, but one of the "men" - if they really were men - seemed to have realized that somebody observed them and hid this panel as much as he could with his back and his stretched arm. He made a gesture at the second who was inside, slightly leaning in the outside on the right of the entry, as if it wanted to draw the attention of the third, who was on the way, 6 meters from there approximately, obviously collecting samples of rock.
The occupants of the apparatus wore a greenish grey tight-fitting uniform with a broad hood of the same matter. Their face was also covered by a type of fabric through which they apparently could see. Their eyes were in the shape of "keyholes." They carried kinds of "pointed mittens," with a long and thin thumb and a very narrow wrist. No curve of the elbow or the knee was visible and nothing was specified concerning their feet.
She wanted to get closer to see better, but her old dog, in a state of panic, drew her back. She went inside the house a short while to draw the attention of her brother, but when she went outside again, there was nothing any more, not even a light.
The next day morning, they inspected the places and found a rectangular mark, slightly burned, exactly at the place where the UFO had been the previous night. The mark was six meters long by two meters wide, dimensions that matched with the estimates of the size of the UFO made by the witness.
A more detailed inspection of the trace showed that the vegetation was like exposed to a forest fire or exposed to an enormous heat radiation. Four months later, when the Canadian investigator William K. Allan visited the site, the mark of darkened grass was still very visible.

The author indicates that Miss Esther Clappison and her brother Bill share for years a small house in the suburbs of Rosedale in the Province of Alberta, when in the night of June 7, 1971 under the full moon, she noticed through a window a light approaching.
She could not distinguish what it was and went to the porch of the house with her dog, where she was amazed to see an enlightened object of rectangular form, which went down towards the ground close to the intersection of two ways at approximately 60 meters to the house.
She was stunned and ill at ease, but observed the scene in detail. The side of the object that faced her appeared largely open, and showed the inside and let pass an "opaque" white light that illuminated the small road. Thanks to this light, she managed to see three characters of human appearance who all seemed to have less than 1.50 meters of size and a generally slender body.
The author quotes the witness saying:

The apparatus was strange and in the shape of box and seemed to have come out of nowhere and had gone away in the same manner. She estimated that it was 2.40 meters high and 1.50 meters wide.
The occupants of the apparatus wore a greenish grey tight-fitting uniform with a broad hood of the same matter. Their face was also covered by a type of fabric through which they apparently could see. Their eyes were in the shape of "keyholes." They carried kinds of "pointed mittens," with a long and thin thumb and a very narrow wrist. No curve of the elbow or the knee was visible and nothing was specified concerning their feet.
The next day, Miss Clappison and Mr. Clappison found a trace on the spot of the landing, a burn of the grasses at the edge of the road on a 6 meters length and of a very narrow rectangular form, as if the object had been only partially posed over the road. This trace was still perfectly visible four months later.
The author indicates that the case is presented in the "Canadian UFO Report" volume 2, #4, pp 5-7, and #5, pp. 22-23, 1972.

The magazine cites the case as one with man-like entities that seem to be perfectly at ease breathing our air and usually seen clad in skintight garments. The magazine indicates that three such entities observed outside Rosedale, Alberta, wearing khaki skintight outfits with see-through fabric covering their faces, somewhat reminiscent of bank robbers with nylon stockings over their heads.

Donald Johnson indicates that on June 9, 1971, at 08:50 p.m., Miss Esther Clappison of Rosedale, Alberta noticed a light outside her home and went to the window, here she saw what looked like a rectangular window that she judged was about 200 feet away, illuminated from within by a white light.
The illumination was on a darkened object whose shaped she could not make out, but she believed was resting on the ground.
In the window, was a man less that five feet tall, dressed in olive green coveralls, this outfit completely covered him, even his face. He seemed to be aware of the witness and he used his body and arm to hide some sort of instrument panel. He seemed to be trying to attract the attention of another humanoid figure outside the object, visible in the light from the window, who was stooped over and picking up rocks from the ground.
When she wanted to get closer to get a better look, her dog would not let her, as it was trembling and cowering, and forced his mistress back inside the house.
After the object left, the grass at the landing site was charred black over an area 20 feet in diameter.

Albert Rosales indicates that in Rosedale, Alberta, Canada, on June 9 1971, at 08:50 p.m., Miss Esther Clappison, noticing a light outside her home, went to the window and saw a rectangular window, illuminated from within by a white light, on an object whose shaped she could not make out, which rested on the ground.
In the window was a man less that 5 feet tall, dressed in an olive green outfit that completely covered him, even his face. He seemed to be aware of the witness observing him from a distance of approximately 200 feet; he used his body and arm to apparently conceal some sort of control panel. He was also trying to attract the attention of another humanoid figure outside the object, visible in the light from the window, who was stooped over and picking up something from the ground-apparently rocks, since he "picked up" and didn't "scoop up."
Although she tried to move closer to get a better look, Miss Clappison's dog would not let her, and although trembling and cowering, he forced his mistress back inside the house. After the object left, the grass at the landing site was charred black over an area 20 ft in diameter.
