The APRO Bulletin for May/June 1968, reports on a series of events around Selah, in the State of Washington, USA, between April 28 and May 6, 1968, told by the owner of a huge apple orchard.
Several people who worked in the orchard said to have seen during these eight days strange red and yellow lights moving slowly above the trees.
A blue light which suddenly illuminated all the details of the landscape on a vast surface and disappeared also suddenly had also been observed.
One evening, a very large object was seen, and five smaller objects came out of it and left at very high speed in different directions.
That same night, a 16 year old young man who was driving in the orchard saw a light in a wood. He stopped, puzzled, and saw approaching him three 1.20 meter tall beings, looking human, but bald and wearing a shining orange clothing.
It became frightened and honked insistently. He then saw two other beings emerging on other side of the road. They had got to within 25 feet of the car when they turned and walked back suddenly and disappeared between the trees.
Having heard the noise, another member of the maintenance crew of the orchard ran to the spot and found the witness almost unconscious.
When the witness came back to his senses, he what had happened.
The next day morning, the owner of the orchard went on the spot with two young people, and where the beings had made a half-turn and in the neighborhoods, there were six prints in the ground, which resembled footsteps traces, but 20 centimeters long, with a narrow heel, without camber, and a foot which had the shape of paddle.
There was also an area where the soil had apparently been dug.
The owner asked at the local school that someone comes by to take a plaster caster of the prints, but nobody came.
APRO announced that an investigation was being conducted and that a full report would follow, but it did not.

Jacques Scornaux indicates that around Selah, in the State of Washington, USA, between April 28 and May 6, 1968, several people who worked in a huge orchard are said to have seen during eight days strange red and yellow lights moving slowly above the trees.
A blue light which suddenly illuminated all the details of the landscape on a vast surface and disappeared also suddenly had also been observed.
One evening, a very large object was seen, and five smaller objects came out of it and left at very high speed in different directions.
The same night, a 16 year old young man who was driving in the orchard saw a light in a wood. He stopped, puzzled, and saw approaching him three 1.20 meter tall beings, looking human, but bald and wearing a shining orange clothing.
It became frightened and honked insistently. He then saw two other beings emerging on other side of the road.
Having heard the noise, another member of the maintenance crew of the orchard ran to the spot and found the witness almost unconscious.
When the witness came back to his senses, he told that the beings, after having approached up to 7 or 8 meters of the car, had moved suddenly walked away and had disappeared between the trees.
Jacques Scornaux notes that this case could have been very interesting if a real investigation had been done, but it is only known via the story told by the orchard owner to an APRO member, his article ending with the mention that an investigation was being conducted and that a full report would follow, but it never did.
Jacques Scornaux indicates two sources, one being described in a previous issue of the magazine which I do not have, the other being the APRO Bulletin for May/June 1968, page 6.
[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Selah, Washington, between April 28 and May 6, 1968, at night, a 16-year old member of an apple orchard "smudging crew" saw a light in a wooded area, stopped his car, and was astonished to see three small beings emerge from the woods about 600 feet away, and approaching him.
They were 4 feet tall or less, human looking but with baldheads, and wearing shiny orange clothing. When he honked the car horn, two similar entities appeared on the other side of the road. They had got to within 25 feet of the car when they turned and walked back. When another crewmember that had heard the horn arrived moments later, he found the witness almost in a faint.
The next day 6 8 inches imprints of a "paddle shaped" foot, with a narrow heel, were found at the site. For a period of 8 days, crewmembers had reported seeing peculiar lights in the area.
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is the Apro Bulletin, May-June 1968.
As Jacques Scornaux pointed out, it is unfortunate that events all so interesting including apparently several sightings, being seen at short distance and strange prints, but all reported by a third party, did not result in a full fledged investigation report.
