British ufologists N. M. H. Turner and W. Daniels investigated a sighting and published the report in the Flying Saucer Review, about the following events.
On November 20, 1968, the Yugoslavian couple of Mr. Milin Milakovic and his Doris and their son Slavic, aged 11, were driving to their home of of 432 Cannock Road, Hednesford, on a farm road across fields, near Hanbury, England.
They had left Hednesford on a house-hunting trip, journeyed through the countryside to Rugeley, Abbots Bromley, and on the road home stopped at Hanbury to view Hanbury Hall, to look at an old house. They were on the Staffordshire-Derbyshire border, midway between Uttoexter and Burton-on-Trent, with an Army Central Workshop 3.5 miles to the northwest, a Royal Air Force ammunition dump 2 miles to the northwest, and a World War IT airfield used by the Ind Coope brewery firm for light aircraft 2 miles to the south.
As they drove on, it was between 05:30 p.m. and 05:45 p.m., dusk was rapidly approaching.
They first noticed a rabbit running away in the field on their left, then soon several more rabbits fleeing from a hedge on the left side of the road.
Looking toward the field on their left, they saw a brilliant object. At this point, Mr. Milakovic stopped the car to look at it, while the object rose slowly and flew above the car.
The three got out to watch the object. Doris Milakovic noticed the air temperature felt much warmer as the object flew overhead, and decreased again when it had moved on.
The object continued flying over the field to their right and hovered over a house about 100 yards away, where it quivered "like jelly." Doris Milakovic specified that the object appeared to be as wide as the house underneath.
It had the shape of a dark bowl-shaped bottom, with a clear dome on top. The dome was divided into vertical thirds, one third showing white light, one third, amber light, and the final third, green light.
Inside the lit dome area, several humanoid figures were seen moving around, sometimes appearing to bend down as though looking at something below the rim. The three people saw this, and this part of the sighting lasted approximately 5 minutes.
The object began moving up in a "pulsating or jerky" movement. Its light intensity greatly increased and Mr. Milakovic felt his eyes were burning. Now very frightened, Mr. Milakovic, normally a brave man, pushed his wife and son into their car and drove away fast.
The object made no sound during the entire sighting.

These ufologists indicate that on November 20 1968, Hanbury, England, between 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., at dusk, the Milakovics and their son were driving through an area with fields on both sides of the road, when they noticed first one rabbit and then several more rabbits cross the road in haste from left to right. When the family looked left, they saw a brilliant object in the field there.
They stopped the car and got out as the object rose slowly and flew over their car. Doris Milakovic noticed the air temperature felt warmer as the object flew overhead. It continued flying over the field to their right and hovered over a house about 100 meters away, where it quivered "like a jelly." It appeared as wide as the house.
The authors then describe the drawing of the object: a dark bowl-shaped bottom, with a clear dome on top, which was divided into vertical thirds, one third showing white light, one third, amber light, and the final third, green light.
The witnesses saw in the lit area of the dome several humanoid figures moving, sometimes appearing to bend down as if looking at something below the rim.
The object began moving in a jerky manner, its light become much more intense and Mr. Milakovic felt his eyes burning.
As they were frightened now, they got in their car and sped away.
No sound was reported, neither electromagnetic effects, but two physiological effects were reported: heat felt as object passed over and burning of the eyes when its light intensity increased.

In his UFO landings catalogue, Vallée indicates that on November 20, 1968, at 05:30, in Hanbury, Great Britain, Mr. and Mrs. Milakovic were driving to Hednesford when they suddenly saw a brilliant object rising from a field to the left and hovering above a house. It appeared to "quiver like a jelly." Several figures were seen on the deck of the craft for about five minutes, then it left with a jerky motion. Vallée indicates that his source is "FSR 69, 1."
[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates that in Hanbury, Hednesford, England, on November 20, 1968, at 05:30 p.m., driving home at twilight, Mr. and Mrs. Milin Milakovic and their 11 years old son Slavic saw many rabbits bounding across the road from left to right.
Suddenly, as if the lights had been turned on, they saw a brilliantly lit object rising up from the field to their left, and pass over their car, now stopped, toward a house on the right side of the road about 100 meters distant. They got out of the car to watch as the UFO hovered over the house.
It was dish shaped and dark underneath, with a transparent dome on top illuminated by white, amber, and green lights. Inside this dome, several silhouetted figures could be seen walking about and occasionally bending down. They were human-like in appearance.
After about 5 minutes, the object began to rise and move away with jerky movements, the lights becoming so intense as to hurt the eyes, and the witness drove away before the object had vanished.
Rosales indicates that the source: is W. Daniels and N. M. H. Turner, FSR Vol.15 #1.
This is a case for which at least some investigation effort was done. From the course of events and the description of the object, its silence, its flying overhead and the details such as occupants walking about inside it, I see no commonplace explanation.
