Years after events dated vaguely of the summer of 1967, an article in a ufology magazine tells of Lucien Duplaix, 49 executive and his daughter, who at night in their house in Roanne, France seemed to have been worried and frightened by a noise of strange steps outside in the street, a vague motionless silhouette in front of the entry that vanished when the light was switched on, and a quite fugitive glimpse of something dark flying above the roofs of neighbor houses.
The entire experience is of vague impressions by probably half asleep witnesses and deprived of any real strangeness, and, not surprisingly, did not leave much impression in the ufology literature.

[Ref. fr1:] MICHEL FIGUET AND JEAN-LOUIS RUCHON:
The authors indicate that in the summer of 1967, towards 11:00 p.m. in Roanne, Lucien Duplaix, aged 49, director of a service at the arsenal of Roanne, stands up on the request of its wife who is suffering, to go get a drug which is in a kitchen cupboard. He then hears a noise of strange steps, heavy and trailing, outside, on the side of the Saint-Exupéry street. His daughter who sleeps in a nearby room awakes, and goes at the window in order to find from where the noise comes. She perceives a vague motionless silhouette in front of the entry of their house terrain, which "seems to observe, then disappears as by enchantment" when she lights her room. The silhouette reappears a little further in direction of a wood located at 100 meters. Lucien Duplaix comforts his daughter who expresses a great fright, during five minutes, then goes at the window to inspect the street. He does not see a silhouette. He sees in edge of the wood a dark object which he thinks at that time is parked car and it does not make a connection with the strange noise heard and the silhouette observed by his daughter. Nothing happens and he gets ready to go back to bed, but first goes in the kitchen again to put back the drug which his wife had just taken, and he then sees during a short moment a dark mass with a slightly enlightened top which passes quickly in his limited field of vision above the close neighbor houses at 40 or 50 meters to altitude. Having observed the object from the side, he cannot specify if it was round or of lengthened form, but it appeared to be of 5 to 6 meters length. The authors indicate that their sources are "L.D.L.N., n° 137, p. 22-23".
