Authors of a 1978 book on strange creatures sightings apparently reported about a letter by one Roger Heath, a schoolteacher, telling that on Fall 1965, in the afternoon, near Little Jedito Wash, North of Winslow, Arizona, USA, driving and nearing the Second Mesa in the Hopi indian reservation, he saw a 3 feet high creature with shining black fur, a round head, and long arms, on the side of the road.
The witness reportedly stopped, pointed a gun out the window at the apparently harmless being, stared at it. The being then bounded away into the desert brushes, hopping and using his arms to propel itself.
The story then entered "Bigfoot" catalogues and ufology catalogues.

A round head, long arms, a black shining fur, the help of arms to get away, this all suggests that the cretaure was some chimp. In any case, nothing suggest any relationship with UFOs or that the creature was a UFO occupant.
