FALL 1965, ASTORIA, NEW YORK, USA, A LITTLE GIRL:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Ufologist Albert Rosales said an email told that in Astoria, New York, on fall of 1965, at night, a five-year old girl had gone to bed with her mother and spoke for a while as the mother fell asleep.

Soon after, the girl saw a dark figure "flow" through the window panes, come towards the little girl and touch her on the forehead. Then figure backed out the same way it had come in.

The little girl woke up her mother and asked her if she had touched her and she said she did not. After the incident the little girl was afraid of large bodies of water and dreamt of flowing waves.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Astoria, New York, on fall 1965, at night, a five-year old girl had gone to bed with her mother and spoke for a while as the mother fell asleep. Soon after, the girl saw a dark figure "flow" through the window panes. The black figure came towards the little girl and touched her on the forehead. Then the dark figure backed out the same way it had come in. The little girl woke up her mother and asked her if she had touched her. The mother said no. After the incident the little girl was afraid of large bodies of water and dreamt of flowing waves.

Albert Rosales indicates as source an email address.

Points to consider:

It seems that the report is a summary of a late anonymous email sent to Albert Rosales.

This case shows most of the usual characteristics of an hypnagogic hallucination episode in childhood reinterpreted later as a close encounter of the third kind or possible close encounter of the third kind.

I provide a few references among dozens about the topic of hypnagogic hallucination and sleep paralysis:

New information from the witness:

On July 22, 2009, the witness contacted me. Thus she is no more anonymous, and her email address is verified. However, she asked me to remove her email address; which I published earlier as it was published by [ar1].

She told me:

"I read your analysis on my report. I just wanted to point out that I never fell asleep before or during the visitation."

List of issues:
