Ufologists of UFO Northwest in the United States heard approximately in 2004 an indirect testimony by a person who was 14 years old approximately in November 1965, a school day, when her mother had observed a UFO from the family home in a residential district in Seattle, between Lake City and North City off 145th Street, at the place of a five roads crossroads.
Her mother, born in 1918 and deceased in 2001, was then 47 years old, worked at Boeing, and had to wake up early. At approximately 4:00 hours of the morning, she was fixing her lunch at the sink when a very bright light outside the front window through the curtains drew her attention. she had never seen a light so intense in her life, and fearing that it was a gas explosion or a fire, she went at the window and looked outside.
There she saw a large oval craft emitting a humming sound and a bright blue light, although misty, which pulsated appreciably. The color and the intensity of the light seemed out of this world to her, as she would repeat many times to her children. The craft rested on at least three short legs and was made of a material appearing metallic. It had small windows all around the part of the machine which was visible to her, which were like a band around the horizontal perimeter of the craft.
The witness' daughter made a sketch according to what her mother had said, adding that the craft would have been approximately 75 feet in diameter. She and the other members of the family were sleeping then and saw nothing, but the girl since then spoke to her sister and her brother without putting out leading questions, and they all have similar memories of the description of the event and the craft by their mother.
Although the sector was built, the place where the five roads crossed was very large and was tarred at that time. The machine was on the front lawn of the family home giving on this large crossroads.
She saw shadows of people or beings at the windows of this craft.
It is noted that this witness was a person who had both feet on the ground and never said a lie nor anything extraordinary in all her life except for this episode, about which she spoke to her husband and children the very same day, requesting that they never mention it to anyone else.
The family had no interest in UFOs before or after the event and her mother did not believe that such things existed. She was sure that her position at Boeing would be compromised if the matter was known outside the family.
The investigator writing the report noted that the fact is that the sighting had occurred almost 40 years ago and that the primary witness, the mother, is deceased, making the sighting impossible to check. Co-investigator Joe Ryan interviewed the daughter and estimated that she is an honest and credible person. The investigators explained that they intended to interview other members of family who knew about the information given by their mother, but it is not known whether they did.

[Ref. un1:] "UFOs NORTHWEST":
The website indicates that approximately in November, 1965, on a school day, "DV", now 50, was at the family residence in a residential neighborhood in Seattle, between Lake City and North City off of 145th Street, at the point of a five-way intersection and likely quite noticeable from the air.
The website indicates that "DV"'s report came second-hand from her mother "BD", 1918 - 2001, who was 47 at the time in 1965.
DV's mother worked at Boeing and had to wake up very early. DV was 14 then and her sister and brother were 16 and 19 respectively. The children usually woke when the mother was already out of the house and on her way to work, although her brother, MV, was in the Air Force at the exact time of the sighting, and heard the story from his mother when he came home on leave shortly thereafter.
That morning at about 4:00 a.m. the mother was fixing her lunch at the sink when a very bright light at the front window through the blinds alerted her. She had never seen such a bright light in her life, according to her daughter. She feared a gas explosion or a fire, raced to the window and peered out, and she would never forget what she saw:
It was a large oval craft that emitted both a hum and a bright, yet hazy, blue light that pulsated noticeably. Both the color and intensity of the light seemed unearthly to DV's mother and she repeated many times, but only to her own trusted family members, that she had never ever seen a light like that which she observed in her entire life. The craft was sitting on at least three short tripod-like legs was made of some metallic looking material. It had small windows around the entire portion of the craft that was visible from her direction. These windows were like a ribbon around the horizontal girth of the craft.
Although the area was built up, the point where the five roads came together was very large and blacktop at the time. The craft was on the family's front lawn overlooking this large intersection.
She saw shadows of persons or beings at the windows of the craft.
It is noted that DV's mother was a down to earth person who never told a lie and who never said or did anything out of the ordinary during her entire life except to relate this story over the years to her husband and children. She warned them never ever to say anything about it to anyone. Indeed, she told them all about it when she returned home from work that very evening although her husband was aware of it because she tried to waken him to see it before it simply vanished. He was too late, but could tell by her trembling that something was certainly out there to have scared her like that, and believed she told the truth. He too warned the children until they were adults to never say a word of this to anyone.
DV said to investigator Joe Ryan over and over: "If you knew my mother, you would know she'd never make something like that or anything!"
DV drew the UFO as a slightly flattened egg-shaped craft with a belt of windows all around it and short legs beneath. Her best guess at the size was about 75 feet in diameter, but she never actually saw it since she was asleep the entire time. She has since spoken to both her sister and her brother and they all had similar memories of their mother's description of the event and the craft. DV was careful not to ask leading questions and they all recalled hearing their mother speak of the blue pulsating light and the short legs, metallic surface and the hum. But it was the brightness of the light that their mother remembered most vividly. Although hazy, it was a bright blue light.
The family had no interest in UFOs before or after the event and her mother did not believe that such things existed. She only knew that her job and security clearances at Boeing would be jeopardized if anyone in the family ever let this event slip out.
The investigator notes that the fact that this sighting occurred nearly 40 years ago and that the primary witness, DV's mother, is deceased, makes this sighting impossible to verify. Co-investigator Joe Ryan has interviewed DV and feels that she is honest and credible. The investigators explain that they intend interviewing other family members who were privy to information revealed by their mother.
[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Lake City, Washington, on November 1965, at 04:00 a.m., the witness, DV, had woken up early one morning and was preparing lunch in the kitchen sink when a very bright light at the front window alerted her. She had never seen such a bright light before and fearing the worst (gas explosion or fire) the raced to the window and peered out. Stunned she saw a large oval craft that emitted both a hum and a bright, hazy blue light that pulsated noticeably. Both the color and the tone of the light seemed unearthly to the witness. The craft appeared to be sitting on three short tripod-like legs and appeared to be made out of some metallic looking material. It had small windows around the portion of the craft that was visible from her direction. The windows were like a ribbon around the horizontal girth of the craft. Shadows of persons or beings could be seen at the windows of the craft. The witness felt mesmerized. When the witness attempted to alert the other members of her family the object abruptly vanished.

Because the notion of extraterrestrial visitors is confronted to scoffing and ridiculization, there are reports that were publicized too late to be the subject of a timely investigation.
