Low credibility author Peter Kolosimo reportedly told in 1966 that on November 3, or 5, 1965, at an unknown time, in the state of Durango, Mexico, shepherd José Luis Fernandez and his son Ignacio, aged 15, were on a high mesa of an isolated desert when they saw a disc that stopped and hovered near the ground.
After one minute of waiting, or a few minutes, a round hole opened at the bottom, or the top, of the disc and reddish vapors or smoke came out, then a Martian appeared.
It allegedly resembled a 0.80 meters long lizard, with the ears of a mouse, six tubular arms and "a long tail finishing in olive-tree leaves". It held a kind of metallic umbrella, provided with three very thin supports that it agitated as if it was making signals.
It observed everything attentively, jumped to the ground and the witnesses fled in panic.

[Ref. go1:] GODELIEVE VAN OVERMEIRE:
The ufologist indicates that on November 5, 1965, in Argentina in Duringo [sic], shepherd José Luis Fernandez and his son Ignacio, 15 years old, were on a high plate and saw a disc which stopped in the sky. After one minute of waiting, one saw opening in the base of the spacecraft a round hole from where initially reddish vapors came out.
Then a Martian appeared that the two witnesses agreed to describe in the same manner:
"It resembled a large lizard, length 80 cm; it had the ears of a mouse, six tubular arms and a long tail finished in olive-tree leaves. It held an object, a kind of metallic umbrella, provided with three very thin supports which it agitated as if it was making signals."
After having observed everything attentively, it jumped to the ground "and, of course, José and Ignacio fled."
Godelieve van Overmeire indicates that the source is Peter Kolosimo, "Des ombres sur les étoiles", Albin Michel, 1970, page 353.
[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Durango, Mexico, on November 3, 1965 at an unknown time, in an isolated desert area a man and his 15-year old son encountered a disc shaped object that stopped and hovered close to the ground nearby. After a few minutes a round opening became visible on the top of the object and reddish vapor or smoke was seen coming out. A strange being then emerged, it was described as short, reptilian in appearance with very long ears, six tubular arms like protrusions and a long greenish tail. It carried a strange object resembling a metallic umbrella that it moved around as if making signals. The being spotted the witnesses and jumped to the ground. At this point both witnesses ran away from the area in a panic and did not see the object and being's departure.
Albert Rosales indicates as source Peter Kolosimo, "Sombra en Las Estrellas".
Author Peter Kolosimo was called "the Prince of the Invention" by other Italian ufologists since he quite simply invented his own stories which he mingled with ufological cases from other authors in whimsical books with stories of Atlantis, Lemuria, space people, time travelers. His own inventions were naturally deprived of any indication of a source or origin.
The two summaries of the story written later are in disagreement between themselves on several points.
