Investigators Kathleen Morel, Jean Waller, Richard Seifried and Dr. Jeannie Byrne reported in the MUFON ufology bulletin in 1990 that in September 1965, at 1:45 a.m., in Litchfield, New Hampshire, USA, five siblings and one cousin all awoke in their bedroom at the same moment.
The room was filled with a heavy, bright red mist, stifling in terms of its heat and humidity. The apparent source was beyond a high window in the room. They then heard the rattling of metal trop doors on the far side of the house leading to a cellar. As the oldest, the seven-year-old girl was urged by the others to lead them into the kitchen, beyond which there were the locked trap doors, to determine whether there was an intruder.
Pulling a chair to the kitchen sink, she pulled open the window and confronted the face of an entity, sketched under hypnosis as a typical "grey", who was standing on the trap doors, looking up at her.
Startled, the girl leaped down. But the others, not having seen the face and being curious, opened a door to the outside. the girl next recalled being outside with her six-year-old male cousin, staring at a domed disc hovering just above a sandy area of their property. The same or an identical entity was standing in distant shadows.
The two children were compelled to walk toward the vehicle, at which point they were levitated through an opening on its underside and into a brightly lit room. Each was prone and paralyzed on an examining table or platform. An entity then performed an undetermined procedure on the girl's lower body, using an instrument likened to a long pencil, on the end of which was a tiny ball with needle-like extensions.
when the procedure was completed, the two were levitated back through the bottom entrance and dropped to the ground. They ran back into the house where they discovered the other children, who were likewise scared and excited.
Through a window, they spotted two more identical craft hovering nearby. They returned to their bedroom and resumed their sleep.
Upon waking in the morning, all realized that their night clothes were damp, as were the bedsheets. Their aunt soon arrived and angrily assumed they had all wet their beds. The girl determined that her sheet was neither discolored nor odorous. Their claims of having seen a spaceship went unheeded. A few of the children soon went outside and discovered a large circular depression in the sandy area.
The investigators note that years later, the mother recalled that she awakened and noticed a reddish mist in her room, assumed her advanced pregnancy was the cause of a dream, and so went back to sleep.
It is noted in the report that the account emerged from the conscious recollection of two of the six witnesses in addition to the testimony of the oldest, 7-year-old girl, under regressive hypnosis administered by Dr. Byrne.

Log #900742: (September 1965 1:45 a.m. event in Litchfield. New Hampshire); investigators Kathleen Morel, Jean Waller, Richard Seifried and Dr. Jeannie Byrne. (Note: The account emerged from the conscious recollection of two of the six witnesses in addition to the testimony of one under regressive hypnosis administered by Dr. Byrne.) Five siblings and one cousin all awoke in their bedroom at the same moment. The room was filled with a heavy, bright red mist, stifling in terms of its heat and humidity. The apparent source was beyond a high window in the room. They then heard the rattling of metal trop doors on the far side of the house which led to a cellar. As the oldest, the seven-year-old girl (and recent hypnosis subject) was urged by the others to lead them into the kitchen, beyond which there were the locked trap doors, to determine whether there was an intruder. Pulling a chair to the kitchen sink, she pulled open the window and confronted the face of an entity (drawn under hypnosis as a typical "grey") who was standing on the trap doors, looking up at her. Startled, the girl leaped down. But the others, not having seen the face and being curious, opened a door to the outside. the girl next recalled being outside with her six-year-old male cousin, staring at a domed disc hovering just above a sandy area of their property. Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Litchfield, New Hampshire, on September 1965, at 0145 a.m., six young persons, including five siblings suddenly awoke in the bedroom at the same time. The room was filled with a heavy, bright red mist and was very hot and stifling. The source appeared to come from beyond a high window in the room. They then heard noises coming from a metal door at the other end of the house, which led to the cellar. They went to investigate and the oldest climbed on top of a chair to look outside the window. She was then confronted by a gray-faced humanoid with large dark eyes. She leaped down, but the others being curious opened the door to go outside. She then recalled sanding outside with her younger cousin looking at a hovering domed disc shaped craft. A gray humanoid figure stood nearby. They both felt compelled to walk towards the object and were then levitated through an opening on the object's underside and into a brightly lit room. Each felt paralyzed and found themselves on an examining platform. A humanoid performed an unknown type of procedure on the girl's lower body using a long pencil like instrument. After this procedure they both were levitated back to the ground. They ran back to the house and all the children now watched two hovering domed disc shaped objects over the area. Ground traces were found the next day on a nearby field.

[Ref. ud1:] "UFODNA" WEBSITE:
The website indicates that in September 1965, at 01:45, in Litchfield, New Hampshire, USA, there was fog, mist, vapor. Six children awoke in fog, heard the cellar door, went to the kitchen. A 7-year old saw an entity through a window; all went outside. An object hovered several feet above the ground. An abduction of a witness was reported. Three white domed discs, about 20 feet away, were observed in partly cloudy weather by four female children on a farm for 120 minutes. A humming sound was heard. One being was seen.
The sources are indicated as MUFON investigation files, and Hatch, Larry, *U* computer database, Author, Redwood City, 2002.
Any evaluation of the value of the case must be suspended because of a crucial lack of precision on the contents of the accounts of the various witnesses. It is indeed said that the oldest girl gave a testimony under hypnosis, and it is indeed mentionned that other children had conscious memories, but the share of the conscious and the use of hypnosis is not documented.
Because of this, absolutely nothing is known about the content of the conscious memories. Only the vapor in the bedroom? More or less than that? When the investigators write that "the two children" walked outside towards the spaceship, is this only something "revealed" by the hypnosis of the girl only, or is there conscious and concordant memories of two children?
Because of this lack of precision, the absence of separate notation of testimonys for the each child, the case could rest basically only on the use of hypnosis; the creature, the spaceship, may come only from that without any conscious memory, and this from one witness then very young and giving the story under the invalid conditions of the use of hypnosis, 25 years after the occurrence date. As there is indeed mention of some conscious memories too, this lack of precision, which could of course come from simple publishing space considerations in the publication, is terribly regrettable.
