A story without original sources appeared in many books and catalogues. It said that on September 20, 1965, at 04:30 p.m., near the town of Pichaca, district of Puno, in southeast Peru, a shepherdess saw a half dozen of 32-inch-tall creatures come out of a landed UFO.
The sheperdess reportedly said they talked together in a language which sounded "like the cackling of geese", and wore white clothing that emitted intermittent flashes of light.
She was so frightened that she fled and hid.
It is said that later a liquid resembling oil was found on the ground.

Obviously the unknown origin of the story makes me very suspicious.
And what if the shepperdess was actually someone not very bright and having heard the many stories of saucer people at the time there, who, when some actual geese came out some distant shack she became frightened and thought it was little men from a saucer? Would she not have said that they walked like ducks and spoke like geese cackling?
