British ufologist Gordon Creighton reported on extraordinary stories coming from various newspapers, allegeldy taking place in Mexico City, Mexico, anf told in the Press on August 21 and 23, 1965.
It was claimed that a party of three students of the La Salle University and another party of boys from a local secondary school had separately and unknown to each other, identical meetings with aliens.
Apparently both group encountered somewhere not far from the city, a 50 meters wide landed disc, of a shining metal resembling stainless steel, emitting a most intense white light.
The crew of this craft was entirely like humans, with fair hair and blue eyes, but 2.10 meters tall, and clad in seamless one-piece garments having a metallic appearance and of some unknown fiber.
Both parties of students claimed that they had been invited into this craft and taken out on a three-hour journey to a huge space station as large as the University grounds.
During the flights, both parties noticed that the most profound silence prevailed in the disc, and they were told that their hosts communicated with each other entirely by telepathy and that the many instruments to be seen in the craft were not manually operated at all, but operated by thought-power.
Arriving at the gigantic space station, they found it occupied by many other extraterrestrial beings who differed greatly among themselves as to size and appearance and were from various sources in our solar system. They also met there a whole Brazilian family who, it was said, had got lost in the jungles of their own country and had been picked up by the visitors.
The visitors claimed to be from Jupiter's moon Ganymede and said they were a thousand years ahead of us and that, in addition to Spanish, they knew a great many of our Earth languages, one of the versions saying that they said they knew over 700 languages from Earth.
They said that they would make a mass-landing on the Earth in October 1965, for the purpose of effecting a "peaceful conquest", and to "teach Earthmen how to use the power of thought properly and constructively, and not destructively, as we do at present."

[Ref. gc1:] GORDON CREIGHTON:
Gordon Creighton indicated that one of the most extraordinary stories yet told came on August 23, 1965, from Mexico City, where it was claimed that a party of three students of the La Salle University and another party of boys from a local secondary school had separately and unknown to each other, identical meetings with strange visitors.
Creighton says they told the Press that they had encountered, somewhere not far from the city, a huge landed disc, 50 meters wide, of a shining metal resembling stainless steel, and emitting a most intense white light.
The crew of this craft were beings entirely like Earth men, but 2 meters 10 centimeters in height, with fair hair and blue eyes and clad in seamless one-piece garments having a metallic appearance and of some unknown fiber.
They also met there a whole Brazilian family who, it seemed, had got lost in the jungles of their own country and had been picked up by the visitors.
The visitors claimed to be from Ganymede (as large as Mercury, it is the third moon of Jupiter) and said they were a thousand years ahead of us and that, in addition to Spanish, they knew a great many of our Earth languages, one of the versions saying that they said they knew over 700 languages from earth.
They said that they would make a mass-landing on the Earth in October 1965, for the purpose of effecting a "peaceful conquest", and to teach Earthmen how to use the power of thought properly and constructively, and not destructively, as we do at present.
In a note, Creighton suggests that this might have to do with [alleged contactee] Dino Kraspedon's book, known in Mexico, and it might be fraudulent and based on it, but that "everything pertinent must be placed on record", and it is important to note that there has been a great deal of material in Latin America pertaining to highly advanced beings said to inhabit Ganymede, rumors about Ganymede going back at least to 1950, and "may all have had their origins in certain alleged psychic contacts made with Space entities through mediums in Buenos Aires." Creighton suggests there may be nothing in it at all and all these tales may spring from this original psychic report, but it is essential that every claim be placed on record.
Creighton indicates that the sources of this story are Ultimas Noticias, Mexico City, for August 22, 1965; Ultima Hora, Buenos Aires, for August 22, 1965, giving the full names of the six students; Noticias Populares, Sâo Paulo, for August 23, 1965; La Montagne, France, for August 23, 1965; Bayreuther Tageblatt, Germany, for September 28, 1965.

The authors indicate that on August 23, 1965, near Mexico City, at night, three students of La Salle University claim to have seen a shiny 160-foot disc emitting an intense white light land just outside Mexico City. The fair-haired, blue-eyed beings looked entirely like Earthlings, but were over 7 feet tall. They wore seamless one-piece garb, metallic in appearance. The students were invited into the ship and taken for a three-hour journey to a large space station.
The saucer ride was exceptionally quiet, and the beings said they communicated with each other telepathically and operated their instruments by thought-power. The space station was occupied by aliens of different sizes and appearance from various parts of our solar system. The students also claimed to have met aboard the space station a Brazilian family who became lost in the jungles of their own country whom the aliens picked up. The beings who picked the students up hailed from Ganymede, the third moon of Jupiter and they said they were a thousand years ahead of Earth and that they knew 700 Earth languages in addition to Spanish.
The aliens said they would make a mass landing on Earth in October 1965 to effect a peaceful conquest and teach us how to use the power of thought properly and constructively, not destructively, as we presently do.
The authors indicate that the source is Gordon Creighton, "The Humanoids in Latin America," in Charles Bowen, ed., The Humanoids (Great Britain: Futura, 1977), pp. 118-19, citing Ultimas Noticias (Mexico City), August 22, 1965; Ultima Hora (Buenos Aires), August 22, 1965 (which gives full names of all students); Noticias PopulaTes (Sao Paulo), August 23, 1965; La Montagne (France), August 23, 1965; Bayreuther Tagblatt (Germany), September 28, 1965.
As a separate case the authors indicate that on August 23, 1965, near Mexico City, at night, a trio of boys from a secondary school claimed to have contacted occupants from a saucer which landed by a road outside Mexico City, on the same night, time, and location as the three La Salle University students in the previous case. The authors say their stories are identical in every respect.
The same source is indicated by the authors.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Mexico City, Mexico, on August 21, 1965, at an unknown time, it was reported that two independent groups of students, 3 from La Salle University and a party of high school boys, had separate but identical meetings with strange visitors. Each group had come upon a huge landed metallic disc 150 ft wide, emitting intense white light. Its blond and blue-eyed crewmembers, entirely human in appearance but 7 ft tall, wore seamless one-piece garments of metallic appearance. The students were invited into the craft and taken for a 3-hour journey to a huge space station. The humanoids communicated entirely by telepathy, and operated their instruments by thought-power. Many varieties of beings were seen at the space station; the students hosts were from the Jovian moon Ganymede. They said they knew 700 languages, and informed their guests that they would make mass landings, for "peaceful conquest," in October of 1965.
Albert Rosales indicates as source The Humanoids citing Newspaper source and UPI Dispatch.

The website indicates that on August 21, 1965, in Mexico City, Mexico, two groups of students had separate but identical meetings with aliens. There was a metallic disc, 150 feet wide observed at a school. The occupants were blond, blue-eyed humans, 7 feet tall, in metallic coveralls. There was a three hours journey, telepathy, a message. It was a close encounter with a craft and its occupants by multiple independent witnesses.
The website gives two names: Echeverria; Rueda.

It seems that not one ufologist has anything more to say about these - obviously not credible - Press stories.
It would be nice that the 5 (at least) newspapers articles were available; they are not, to me.
It is possible that the two groups of students are actually only one group, and one story, that diverged from one newspaper to another.
Jupiter moon Ganymede was regularly used in invented stories and "contactee" lore in the Sixties as planet of origin for the alleged space people. It cannot be. Ganymede is indeed the largest planet satellite in the solar system, but whereas it is indeed larger in diameter than planet Mercury, it has only about half its mass, it is a ball made half of water and ice and half of silicate rocks with no significant atmosphere (surface pressure of less than 0.2-1.2 x 10-5 µBar) and nothing to allow the emergence of any human-like lifeform.
Lastly, one must be aware that while the date is apparently given as August 23, or 21, 1965, all that can be really inferred from the mentioned Press articles is that it must have occurred some time before August 22, 1965.
