British ufologist Gordon Creighton indicated that he read in the Ultima Hora newspaper of Buenos Aires, Argentina, for August 18, 1965, that in Lima, Peru, on the evening of August 17, 1965, a Peruvian woman named Hilda Santa Cruz, employee of the police authorities, was visited by "an extraterrestrial being, presumably a 'Martian'".
He knocked upon the door of her house with the evident purpose of paying her a visit. When she gave the alarm, neighbours appeared, hut he had vanished, and all that was seen was a luminous sphere which passed overhead immediately afterwards at a fantastic speed towards the west.
