END OF JULY 1965, VALENSOLE, ALPES-DE-HAUTE-ROVENCE, FRANCE, PEOPLE:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Ufology group GEPA reported that at the end July 1965 at 10 p.m., close to Valensole, road of Gréoux-les-Bains, 300 meters in the North-East of the Olivol on the plate of Valensole, residents of Valensole observed an object and small beings.

The object came to a stop at the foot of a hill at the edge of the road of Gréoux-les-Bains, close to chestnut trees, and at 4 or 5 meters from the ground. Small beings came down from the machine and went up there without any material support or visible ladder.

The authors indicate that at the end July 1965 at 10 p.m., close to Valensole, road of Gréoux-les-Bains, 300 meters in the North-East of the Olivol on the plate of Valensole, residents of Valensole observed an object similar to the one observed on July 1, 1965 by Mr. Maurice Masse, and small beings.

The object, similar to the one observed by Mr. Masse, July 1, 1965, came to a stop at the foot of a hill at the edge of the road of Gréoux-les-Bains, close to chestnut trees, and at 4 or 5 meters from the ground. Small beings came down from the machine and went up there without any material support or visible ladder.

The authors point out that these beings have reinstate an apparatus without material support as in the case of Cussac on August 22, or 29, 1965.

The authors indicate that at the end July 1965, but on dates which remain vague, two new curious visions took place near Valensole initially, then at some distance from there, but always near the plate of Valensole. Initially several inhabitants of the village of Mr. Masse saw in their turn an object identical to that observed on July 1: it seemed immobilized at 4 or 5 meters of the ground and small beings went down from there and up there without any help or visible ladder.

The authors indicate that the source is Phénomènes Spatiaux #9, page 14.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Valensole, France, in the end of July 1965, at 2200, several witnesses saw on the side of the road an oval shaped object hovering about 5 meters from the ground. Numerous short figures seemed to be coming in and out of the object without using any visible entrance point.

The website indicates that on July 28, 1965 at 22:00, in Valensole, soutwest of France, "a 4m ovoid near ground by chestnuts." Humanoids floated out and back, there were many witnesses, it was a close encounter with a an unidentified craft and its occupants. One ovoid object about 20 feet across was observed in a field for 45 minutes.

The source is indicated as "Hatch, Larry, *U* computer database, Author, Redwood City, 2002."

Points to consider:

It is a pity that there isn't more information available on this sighting: it seems there were multiple witnesses, but the description of what happened and the descriptions of the craft and occupants are close to nothing. Because the source is the ufology group GEPA, it is quite likely that there was some investigation but as it does not seem to be available, many questions are left open.
