In the end of 1960, Brazilian ufologist Olavo Fontes, APRO member, wrote an article about the many UFO sightings in a six-states area of Brazil on May 13, 1960, one of which in the state of Ceara, when at 7 p.m., more than one hundred witnesses are said to have observed a dark gray and circular craft, 20 meters in diameter, with a powerful light, manoeuvering and hovering in the sky.
The next day, around 4 a.m., a farmer named Raimondo Sulino, or Raimondo dos Santos or maybe Raimundo Sulino dos Santos, reportedly saw two craft, not described, posed on the beach, or, depending on the versions, landing on the hill close to a farm called Capin Acu in Paracuru, in this same state of Brazil.
He approached until some unspecified distance, and saw several small "entities", of human appearance, of pale skins, who were in blue uniforms with white helmets.
These "entities" made friendly gestures at him, but he was frightened and run away.
He came back later with other men, and traces, not described, allotted to these craft were reportedly found.
The majority of the summaries published afterwards in the ufological literature do not mention anymore that these "entities" were in blue uniforms with white helmets and apparently nobody considered the possibility that the witness might have failed to recognize two military helicopters posed in the night at a certain distance.

[Ref. cl1:] CORAL LORENZEN:
Coral Lorenzen indicates that during the night of May 13, 1960, a six-state area of Brazil experienced an unusual number of UFO sightings. Among them was an incident the next day in which farmer Raimundo dos Santos saw two landed discs on the beach near Paracura, Ceara State, northeast Brazil, and several small and pale-looking human-like entities standing near them.
They beckoned to dos Santos, who turned and fled in fright.
Returning later with other men, he found marks in the sand where the discs had rested.
Coral Lorenzen indicates that the source is a long article on the flap of sightings of unidentified objects flying often at low altitude on May 13, 1960 in six states of Brazil, by the representative of her ufology group APRO for Brazil, Doctor Olavo T. Fontes, published in the APRO Bulletin in several parts in the July, September, and November 1960 issues.
[Ref. gc1:] GORDON CREIGHTON:
The British ufologist indicates that in Paracuru, State of Ceara, North East of Brazil, at 07:00 p.m. on May 13, 1960, more than a hundred people watched a smooth, dark-grey circular craft maneuvering and hovering overhead. The craft had a powerful light on its apex, and seemed to be about 60 feet wide.
At 04:00 a.m. the next day, May 14, farmer Raimundo dos Santos saw two landed discs on the beach near Paracuru, and several small pale-looking human-like entities standing beside them, apparently conversing. On seeing the farmer, these small entities beckoned to him, but he turned and fled.
Returning later with other men, he found marks in the sand left by the discs.
Gordon Creighton indicates that his sources are Coral Lorenzen, and Dr. Olavo Fontes in the A.P.R.O. Bulletin for July/September and November 1960.

[Ref. jv1:] JACQUES VALLEE:
In his catalogue of UFO landings, Jacques Vallée indicates that on May 14, 1960, at 04:00 a.m. in Paracuru Brazil, Raimondo dos Santos saw two craft land on hill near a farm called Capin Acu. He went near them and saw several small beings, pale-looking, making friendly gestures. He ran away.
The creatures wore blue uniforms and white helmets. The previous day at 07:00 p.m., over 100 witnesses had observed a dark-gray, circular craft, 20 meters in diameter with a powerful light, maneuvering and hovering.
Vallée indicates that his source is "Humanoids 37; LDLN 58."
[Ref. tp1:] TED PHILIPPS:
Ted Philipps indicates as case 136 of his listing of UFOs with physical traces that on May 14, 1960, in Paracura, Brazil, at 04:00, a witness saw two landed discs on a beach, and several small, pale-looking human-like entities standing near them. They beckoned to the witness, who turned and fled in fright. Returning later with other men he found marks in the sand where the discs had rested.
Ted Philipps indicates that his source is "APRO".
[Ref. dj1:] DONALD JOHNSON:
Donald Johnson indicates that on May 14, 1960, at around 4 a.m. Raimondo dos Santos saw two craft land on hill near a farm called Capin Acu in Paracuru, Brazil. He went near them and saw several small pallid beings, who were making friendly gestures at him, and he ran away.
These creatures wore blue uniforms with white helmets. The previous day at 7 p.m., over a hundred witnesses had observed a dark-gray, circular craft, 20 meters in diameter with a powerful light, maneuvering and hovering in the sky.
Donald Johnson indicates that his sources are Jacques Vallee, Passport to Magonia: A Century of Landings, case 505; Olavo T. Fontes, APRO Bulletin, September 1960, p. 5; Coral E. Lorenzen, Flying Saucers: The Startling Evidence of the Invasion from Outer Space, p. 200.
[Ref. tc1:] TERRA.COM.BR:
The Brazilian website indicates that on May 14, 1960, Raymond Sulino observed two landed UFOs, with several extraterrestrial beings of small size and pale skin. The case occurred in Paracuru (Ceara).
The data which are at present available to me is extremely meager and well under what one would ask of a ufological investigation, of which there is no actually no trace.
The late summaries all appear to silence on the fact that the "entities" were in blue uniforms and a white helmet, except for Donald Johnson who seems to have had access to the original article by Dr. Fontes in the bulletin of the APRO.
But the fact that these "entities" were in blue uniforms and white helmets can suggest that the two "discs" were actually vehicles, or military helicopters, that the witness, apparently a simple farmer, whose age is not reported, might not have recognized as such since they were not so usual in Brazil in 1960, or because of the night, and an observation distance, not indicated, but which could have been important since these entities rather make gestures than speaking or calling the witness.
