DECEMBER 1959, BROCTON,, STAFFORDSHIRE, U-K., THREE PEOPLE:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Wilfred Daniels, a less-than-skeptical local ufologist, reportedly indicated that in Brocton, England, on December 1959, at night, the car of three people stalled on a hill, and they got out to push it.

Suddenly they saw a 3.5 feet tall figure standing behind the car. Its head was 3 or 4 times normal size, enclosed in a large transparent bowl; from the neck down it was clad in close fitting blackish clothing.

This being asked "Are you in trouble," and on receiving an affirmative answer, proceeded to push the car at a good pace up the hill, enabling the driver to start it.

When the people turned to thank the helpful stranger, he was gone.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Brocton, England, on December 1959, at night, the 3 witnesses car stalled on a hill and they got out to push it. Suddenly they saw a small figure, only 3.5 ft tall, standing behind the car. When they turned to thank the helpful stranger, he was gone.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Wilfrid Daniels, and Humcat 1959-13.

[Ref. ud1:] "UFODNA" WEBSITE:

The website indicates that in late December 1959, at night, in Brocton, U-K., a car stalled at the cemetery, there was a 1 meter tall being dressed in tight dark clothing, with a large head in a fishbowl helmet.

"Asked if they needed assistance, pushed car up hill at fast pace, able to restart car, being gone. Occupants of the craft were seen. Electromagnetic effects were noted."

The website comments that an unidentified object at close range and its occupants were observed in snowy weather by three witnesses, "two of them an experienced observors", on a road.

The website indicates that the Hynek case rating is CE3, and the Vallée rating is AN4, i.e. Witness interaction with the AN3 entities. i.e. near-death experiences, religious miracles and visions, OBEs (out-of-body experiences).

The website indicates that the sources are Webb, David, HUMCAT: Catalogue of Humanoid Reports; Data-Net Report; FSR, London, 1966; Vallee, Jacques, Computerized Catalog (N = 3073); Rogerson, Peter, World-Wide Catalog of Type 1 Reports; Bloecher, Ted R., Ted R Bloecher investigation files.

Points to consider:

Wilfred Daniels, the Stafford ufologist who apparently reported the case, was an Adamski believer with a strong taste for the occult and a believer of just about any paranormal or UFO claim. In the famous "Cosford" case of 1963, he claimed that the witness refused to be named and was reluctant to the investigation, whereas the witness Reverend B.G. Henry actually agreed that his name was used, was open to investigators, and almost sued Wilfred Daniels for having distorted his real testimony.
