A story, probably from a newspaper of the time and place, surfaced without much details in the ufology literature, about a UFO encounter near Quilino, in the Province of Cordoba, in Argentina, on August 20, or 22, 1957.
An unnamed male officer was on a mission with two other officers to guard a downed air force plane until proper men and equipment could reach the site and recover it.
He was left alone in a tent tent, when he heard a strange buzzing sound, extremely loud and high pitched. Rushing outside, he saw a disc going down slowly, while the plants and the grass were violently agitated.
He was terrorized and tried to pull out his revolver, but under some influence that came from the disc, according to what he said to have felt, he could not bring his weapon out, as it seemed to be stuck to its holster.
Then, a voice coming from the disc told him in Spanish not to be frightened, because the Interplanetary Space Force had already a base in the area of Salta nearby, and would soon show themselves to all the people of the Earth so that everybody gets informed of the danger of the bad use of atomic energy.

[Ref. gc1:] GORDON CREIGHTON:
The author indicates that in Quilino, in the Province of Cordoba, in Argentina, on August 20, 1957, a member of the Air Force of that country was under a tent, when he heard a strange buzzing sound, extremely loud and high pitched. Rushing outside, he saw a disc going down slowly, while the plants and the grass were violently agitated.
He was terrorized and tried to pull out his revolver, but under some influence that came from the disc, according to what he said to have felt, he could not bring his weapon out, as it "seemed to be stuck to its case."
Then, a voice coming from the disc told him in Spanish not to be frightened, because the Interplanetary Space Force had already a base in the area of Salta nearby, and would soon come forward on the Earth so that everybody gets informed of the danger of the bad use of atomic energy.
The author adds that it is largely admitted that the extraterrestrials have bases in the area of Salta in Argentina.
He indicates that his sources are the Diaro de Cordoba, in August 1957, and his article in the Flying Saucer Review for July - August 1965.
[Ref. jv1:] JACQUES VALLEE:
The author indicates in his UFO landing cases catalogue that on August 20, 1957, in Quilino, Argentina, an Air Force man inside a tent heard a loud, shrill sound and saw a disk that came down as grass and plants fluttered wildly under it. He found himself unable to draw his gun, which "seemed to be glued in its holster." A voice came from the craft, telling him in Spanish that UFO's had a base in the Salta area and would soon show themselves to warn all people about the dangers of a nuclear catastrophe. The author indicates "Humanoids 36" as source.
[Ref. bh1:] ROBERT E. BARTHOLOMEW AND GEORGE S. HOWARD:
The authors indicate that on August 20, 1957, near Quilino, province of Cordoba, Argentina, in the evening, an unnamed male officer was on a mission with two other officers to guard a downed air force plane until proper men and equipment could reach the site and recover it.
He was left alone in a tent while his companions went for supplies. He heard a high-pitched hum, and saw a large, bright metal disc hovering above him. The disc slowly descended, causing grass and plants to flutter wildly.
Frantically tugging on his gun, the officer could not unholster it.
A gentle voice in Spanish said not to fear, explaining that the interplanetary spaceship had a base in the nearby province of Salta. It said "We intend to help you, for the misuse of atomic energy threatens to destroy you."
The voice then predicted that the entire world would soon know of the saucers. Bushes and trees rustled as the craft flew off.
The authors indicate that the sources are Gordon Creighton, "The Humanoids in Latin America," in Charles Bowen, ed., The Humanoids, Great Britain: Futura, 1977, p. 100, citing Diario de Cordoba for August 22, 1957; Flying Saucer Review 11 for July/August 1965, page 30; John A. Keel, Why UFOs, New York: Manor, 1970, page 183, also published as UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse, New York: Putnam's Sons, 1970.
[Ref. fa1:] AFORTEANOSLA.COM.AR:
On a page since disappeared, this Argentinian website indicated, without indicating the source, that on August 22, 1957, within 20 kilometers of the town of Quilino, in the State de Córdoba, Argentina, a member of the Argentinian Aviation who was in a countryside tent heard a very acute and strange buzzing sound.
He came out running and saw a disc which went down slowly, causing an important agitation in the grass and the plants.
Alarmed, he tried to declad his revolver, but because of a certain influence of the disc, as he thought, it could not bring the weapon out of its holster, as it "appeared stuck to its case."
A voice coming from the disc then told him in Spanish that he does not need to be afraid, because the interplanetary ships already had a base in the area close to Salta, and that very soon, they would come show themselves to the entire Earth and would alert the people of the Earth of the great dangers which result from the bad use of atomic energy.
The possibly "Adamski-inspired" newspaper story of anonymous origin has not much to its credibility.
