LATE 1956, HUGHENDEN, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, A 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

A brief story appeared in the Australian ufology literature apparently in the end of the 80's, reporting that in late 1956, near Hughenden, Queensland, Australia, Miss L., a 12 year-old-girl, was crossing a paddock on the family farm when she felt a strange force upon her, heard a soft hum, felt as if she was being lifted off the ground and then fainted.

When she awoke, she was in a strange large room with two men in silver white ski-suits, who did not communicate and whose description and actions are not reported.

The room was not furnished. She noted an arched doorway leading into a corridor, porthole-like windows along one wall, and that the room had no joins or seams and a colored "galaxy display" on one wall.

The girl then felt "enormous pressure" and lost consciousness again, to find herself back at the farm, but in a different paddock, with a huge saucer shaped object hovering above her, ascending rapidly to the west. The girl determined that two hours had elapsed since she initially lost consciousness.

Points to consider:

The apparently unique witness is a young girl, 12-year-old only, and the facts are reported apparently very late. The very meager descriptions and the absence of precision on the possible use of hypnotic regression sessions and whether an investigation was conducted or not leave a case whose nature and credibility are not correctly established.
