The "Mystical Universe" website publisheed in their witnesses' reports pages, in 2003, a story by Michael, of Columbus, Ohio, titled "UFO Sighting - Location: Cedarville, Ohio - Dates: 1955/1956 and 1960."
Michael tells that on his birthday, when he turned four or five, in September around 1955 or 1956, he heard a very loud noise. He looked up in the sky and saw a UFO hovering over the railroad tracks. He ran to a "bootleg joint" and told the people there that he saw a flying saucer over the tracks, but they all laughed.
He went to his Grandmother's house, where he was staying. She was watching the news and he remember the Newscaster said there was a loud noise and it was coming out of Canada. Then he remembered a helicopter in the back of his Grandmother's house and asked "one of the masked men to give me a ride, they said, 'No.'"
Michael writes: "I was a spoiled brat and had a bad temper at the time. That is why I think I can remember this story."
He says that the next day, nobody that was in the "bootleg joint" said anything about him saying he saw a flying saucer, and he finds this strange because now because that would have be something to laugh about the next day.
He also remembers the town alarm going off one day. He does not remember how old he was then, but as he was home only with his mother, when the alarm went off, he ran outside as he always does "coming from a small town." He looked up "and the whole sky was full of UFO's."
He ran back into the house and said, "Hide!" to his mother, and hid under the front room window, "and immediately jumped up and opened the door."
He says a tall "spaceman" with a dark gray suit and helmet with big blue eyes and the eyes were the only thing that he could see of him, except the space suit. His eyes looked like they were smiling at him, and he was not afraid.
Michael concludes that he "knows these stories are true" because they never left him and he is 51 now and still remembers the stories just like it was yesterday. He thinks the man in the space suit wanted him to remember him for some reason, and adds that he lives only seventeen miles from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in Ohio, where the US Air Force hosted their small UFO reports investigation team these years.
A niced-up version of the story then entered a ufology catalogue.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Cedarville, Ohio, in 1955, at night, on several occasions the main witness and his family reported seeing a hovering disc-shaped object hovering above some nearby railroad tracks. One night the witness remembering hearing a loud sound and an alarm go off. He then saw a tall "spaceman" wearing a dark gray suit and helmet with big blue eyes, which look like they were smiling at him. The witness was not afraid and the figure suddenly vanished.
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Mystical Universe, Alien UFO sightings.
He comments that it is an early bedroom visitation by human-like alien.
Michael was 4 or 5 when this happened according to his memories. Unfortunately, memories of that age, as any parent of youg kids can realize, are nowhere near reliable. Very likely there was a mixup of events in which a helicopter and even an helicopter crew were involved.
The episode with the town alarme and the "spaceman" possibly relates to some very real disaster prevention exercise, or cold war atom bomb cilian protection test, with some fireman in abestos suit or military man in radiation protection suit, a special, rather than spatial, suit. The case was obviously not verified or investigated, it is only a published email. |
