A Scottish journalist and author of books about UFO and the paranormal reported in his 2005 book that in Belhaven Terrace, Scotland, in an afternoon of the summer of 1955, Emma Roberts, 8-year-old, was cooking potatoes over a small fire with her sister and a group of older children.
Suddenly she became aware of the presence of two beings that she could not take her eyes off. Her sister was frightened by the appearance of these visitors, and Emma told her to run home, while herself was fascinated by the sight and continued to watch, wondering all the time who or what these people might be.
The two entities she had first spotted were now joined by several more. All of them seemed focused on the ground and completely ignored the children. Emma recalled that they were floating rather than walking and that they all looked identical: tall, thin, very pale skinned, wearing long, floating, and plain white garments with white caps.
Emma was particularly struck by their noticeably deep and penetrating eyes within distinctly pointed faces.
All at once, "as if a spell had been broken", one of the entities turned towards Emma, almost as if he had "tuned in" to her presence. He moved up the slope towards her, looking through her, and all the visitors then turned and followed the first. Emma then turned and ran away.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Belhaven Terrace, Scotland, on Summer, 1955, in the afternoon, Emma Roberts, 8, was cooking potatoes over a small fire with her sister and a group of older children. Suddenly Emma became aware of strange entities or "beings" as she describes them. She found she couldn't take her eyes off them. Her sister was frightened by the appearance of these "visitors" and Emma told her to run home. Emma on the other hand was fascinated by the sight and continued to watch, wondering all the time who or what these people might be. The two entities she had first spotted were now joined by several more. All of them seemed focused on the ground and completely ignored the children. Emma now recalled that they were floating rather than walking and that all these beings looked identical. They were tall, thin, very pale skinned, wearing long, floating, and plain white garments with white caps. Emma was particularly struck by their eyes, which were noticeably deep and penetrating, within distinctly pointed faces. All at once, as if a spell had been broken, one of the entities turned towards Emma, almost as if he had "tuned in" to her presence. He moved up the slope towards her, looking not at her but through her. All the visitors then turned and followed the first. Emma then turned and ran.
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Ron Halliday, UFO Scotland.
Ron Halliday is a popular Scottish columnist with The Evening Times in Glasgow, and has been investigating paranormal phenomena such as ghosts and poltergeists and also UFOs for about 15 years when he reported this case. He is chairman of the Scottish Earth Mysteries Research, and appears regularly on radio and television in paranormal and UFO shows.
This is a very poorly reported case in a second hand source providing just a story of alleged events; there may or may not be more information in the original source. It is not said when it was reported, nor to whom, at what age.
The ambiguous description of the entities does not rule out that the entities were normal human beings; no UFO is seen; thus, it would have been necessary to rule out pr check whether the little girl might have seen just a group a adults in whites robes performing some traditional Celtic ceremony.
