Narratives:

[Ref. jg1:] JIMMY GUIEU:

The author indicates that on November 13, 1954, in the State of Panama [sic] in Brazil, a lenticular spacecraft landed, observed by a railwayman. Very impressed, the railwayman immediatly alerted by phone the Curitiba authorities.

He reported: "At 03:30, I saw three very small men leaving an oval apparatus posed on the railway, between the stations of Congonhas and Urai. They were dressed in tight-fitting outfits of very bright color. They started to examine the ballast using a light, but they saw me and hastened up in their apparatus which disappeared at very high speed."

[Ref. lo1:] CORAL LORENZEN:

The author reports that in Curitiba, Brazil, an railway employee reported to the authorities that on November 14, 1954, at 03:30 a.m. he saw three beings in tight-fitted luminous clothes examining the ground around the railway with a lantern.

When the strange creatures saw the man, they entered an oval craft which rose quickly.

[Ref. jv1:] JACQUES VALLEE:

Jacques Vallée indicates that on November 13, 1954, close to Curitiba, Brésil, an object in the shape of a lens was seen on the railway. "Three dwarves wearing tight-fitted suits examined the railway with a lamp. When the witnesses approached the machine, it flew away very quickly."

A lens-shaped object was seen on the railroad tracks. Near it, three dwarfs wearing tight-fitting suits were looking at the tracks with a light. When the witness approached, the machine took off very fast. (99; Humanoids 33)

[Ref. gc1:] GORDON CREIGHTON:

Gordon Creighton indicates that in Curitiba, State of Parana, Brazil, a Brazilian railway employee reported that at 03:30 a.m. on November 54, 1954, he saw three beings in tight-fitting luminous clothing examining the ballast on the permanent way and the ground around the tracks, by the light of a lantern.

When the strange creatures saw him, they entered an oval-shaped craft which rose rapidly into the sky.

Creighton notes that Jacques Vallée, mentioning this case, said they were midgets, but Coral Lorenzen's account does not give their size.

He indicates that the sources are Coral Lorenzen, The Great Flying Saucer Hoax, and Jacques Vallée, The Pattern Behind UFO Landings in the Flying Saucer Review for January/February 1964.

[Ref. rs1:] RAY STANFORD:

In his book about the famous UFO landing in Socorro, Ray Stanford indicates a number of other sightings of egg-shaped craft that may be significant in this regard.

Among those cases, he indicates that on November 14, 1954, in the vicinity of Curitiba, in the state of Parana, Brazil, a railroad employee reported having seen at 03:30 a.m. three small humanoids in tight-fitting and seemingly luminous clothing. They seemed to be examining the ground around the railroad tracks with a light. When the beings saw the man, they entered an oval-shaped craft, which departed quickly into the night sky.

Points to consider:

Jimmy Guieu is the one who gave the most details, and Coral Lorenzen perhaps heard speak about the case independently on her side. But no author took care to indicate his primary source, probably a newspaper article without further details. The other sources simply copied the story, for which I did not find a mention in the listings of Brazilian cases coming from ufologists from that country.
