A local newspaper reported that in Dewey County, Oklahoma, on August 15, 1954 during the day, Gladys White Eagle was a riverbank, when she saw what is called a flying saucer come straight down in a roaring sound and land.
A tall, thin man, with a dark complexion and a long beard, emerged from the saucer and told her in twisted words that the United States will be destroyed by an earthquake and a bomb on October 13.
It then laughed loudly and told her to come back at the same place on the 17th, but the woman told the newspaper that she will not go back because she was frightened too much.

[Ref. bh1:] ROBERT E. BARTHOLOMEW AND GEORGE S. HOWARD:
The authors indicate that Gladys White Eagle claims that on August 15, 1954, in Dewey County, Oklahoma, by day, she heard a loud noise and saw a flying saucer land near a riverbank.
A tall, thin, dark-skinned male with a long beard emerged and said that the United States would be destroyed by an earthquake and a bomb on October 13, and this character then he laughed and told her to come back at the same location on September 17, but she was too frightened.
The authors indicate that the sources are an article in the Daily News, of Clinton, Oklahoma, page 1, for September 17, 1954, and the newspaper Daily News, page 1, for September 19, 1954.
[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Dewey County, Oklahoma, on mid August 1954, in daytime, Gladys White Eagle, on a riverbank, saw a "flying saucer" come straight down with a roar.
A tall, lean man with a dark complexion and a long beard got out and told her the US would be destroyed by an earthquake and bomb on October 13. "He told me that in twisted words and then he laughed very hard. Then he said for me to come to the spot again today, but I'm not going back because I'm scared."
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Humcat quoting newspaper source.
If the story is not totally invented either by the witness or the newspaper, it is then possible that some coloured helicopter pilot, upon landing, decided to play a nasty prank at the expense of a possibly young and uneducated woman, telling her silly things to scare her even more than she still was by the arrival of the roaring craft.
