OCTOBER 1951 OR NOVEMBER 1952, TERREST/HOUTHULST, BELGIUM, MR. AND MME. H.C.:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Skeptic ufologist Luis R. Gonzalez Manso noted in a catalogue that Belgian ufologist Jacques Bonabot personally informed him in 2003 of a case investigated in 1977 by a certain "Collen B": in October 1951 or November 1952 at 08:15 p.m. in Terrest-Houthulst, Belgium, Mr. and Mrs. H.C. were returning from their parents when on the corner of the Sleepstraat and Kleine Sleepstraat streets, they saw a flaming rounded object land.

Before it landed, the upper side of the object opened and seven little beings appeared. The beings were red in color, great head and ears, little holes for the eyes and short legs.

Three of them came on the ground, one of them walked around the object and seemed to check the four-legs landing gear of the apparatus. After a sign of one of the beings, the others went inside and it took off.

Mr. H.C. had tried to approach, but the object sent a hot beam of light just before his feet.

Many people coming from a cinema saw, from a far distance, the light of the phenomenon.

[Ref. lg1:] LUIS R. GONZALES MANSO:

Luis R. Gonzalez Manso notes in his FirstHumCat catalogue that from a personal communication of August 1003 from J. Bonabot, he learned that in October 1951 or November 1952 at 08:15 p.m. in Terrest-Houthulst, Belgium, Mr. and Mrs. H.C., when returning from their parents, saw on the corner of Sleepstraat and Kleine Sleepstraat, a flaming rounded object coming on the ground.

Before it landed, the upper side of the object came open and seven little beings appeared. Three of them came on the ground. The beings were red in color, great head and ears, little holes for the eyes and short legs.

One of them walked around the object as controlling the four legs of the machine. After a sign of one of the beings, the others went inside and the thing took away.

Mr. H.C. tried to approach the apparition but the object sent a hot beam of light just before his feet.

Many people coming from a cinema saw, from a far distance, the light of the phenomenon.

The investigation was made "by Mr. Collen B in 1977."

Points to consider:

It is regrettable that a case that has all the appearance of an extraterrestrial visit rather than of some ordinary event of the helicopter landing kind ends up in a meager summary while an investigation seems to have been run; which probably includes missing information such as the age of the witnesses and possibly more information on the alleged independent witnesses who saw the occurrence from a distance. How many more cases are thus lost because only few people worry to seriously preserve the investigation files by releasing them for free for the researchers use?
