September 1947, West Yaroslavl, Russia, a woman:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

A story published in a UFO publication in Moscow in 1997 was transmitted by ufologist Anton Anfalov to Albert Rosales who published it in the 2000's.

The story says that one the evening of 1947 in the West Yaroslavl province of Russia, three or four local women came back to their villages from the lake with bags of cranberries when they suddenly noticed a fire in the forest and several "men" sitting nearby.

One of the women put her bag on the ground and approached the fire. The men did not react to her presence. When she approached, she was amazed to see that these "men" were "dwarves the size of children with greenish faces." When they saw her, they all jumped up and fled the area.

The next day, other villagers found unusual "alien" footprints resembling horseshoes bearing three calks [?]. Apparently, the greenish dwarves had forked feet.

Albert Rosales says that according to Anton Anfalov, these extraterrestrials are probably "zonnerians" of the planet Zonneri, Tialubba's double star system, 73.3 light-years from Earth.

3 or 4 local peasant women were returning to their village from the lake with sacks of cranberries when suddenly they noticed a fire in the forest and several "men" seating near it. One of the women put her sack on the ground and approached the fire. The men did not react to her presence. When she came closer she was stunned to see that those "men" were child-sized dwarfs with greenish faces. When they saw her, they all jumped up and ran from the area. The next day, other villagers found unusual "alien" footprints resembling horseshoes with 3 calks. Apparently the greenish dwarfs were hoofed.

Points to consider:

Regarding the credibility of Russian ufological writings, we can consult the excellent book by Boris Shurinov "OVNIS en Russie - Les Deux Faces de l'Ufologie Russe" ("UFOs in Russia - The Two Faces of Russian Ufology"), which shows how much alongside a serious ufology, there was outlandish sensationalism with writers making up stories for which one would look in vain for the slightest corroboration.

It is probably not Anton Anfalov who assured that "these extraterrestrials are likely to be "zonnerians" of the planet Zonneri, Tialubba's double star system, 73.3 light-years from Earth" but the source itself; this nonsense speaks volumes.

The alleged "traces" could suggest some real fact, some misinterpretation, with traces of erthly animals taken for something else. However, it is unlikely, since in 1947 in Russie, extraterrestrials were not a topic; peasants would rather have interpreted this as the devil's footprints.

In short, it is impossible to know exactly what this is about, but the credibility of the story is in any case questionable.
