Circa 2009, ufologist Albert Rosales indicated in his book about 1947 "humanoid encounters", a case located in Boone, North Carolina, USA:
Someone remembers that as he or she was 5-year-old, in July 1947, at night, a beam of light had been polling him or her through the walls of the living room. His mother grabbed his heel in an effort to keep him from going out. The witness does not remember much of the event but has "possibly been involved in other encounter."

Albert Rosales indicates that in Boone, North Carolina, in July 1947, at night, a 5-year old witness "remembers a beam of light polling him through the walls of the living room. His mother grabbed his heel in an effort to keep him from going out. He doesn't remember much of the event but has possibly been involved in other encounter."
Albert Rosales that this is "Definitely an abduction attempt."

Points to consider:
Though the unexplained-mysteries.com forum is alive in 2018 when I write these lines, I did not lcoate the report when using "Boone" in its search engine.
The report is thin, likely anonymous, terribly backdated, memories of age 5. This could be totally invented. Also, there is no mention of any encounter with any entity, so it would not really be a close encounter of the third kind. And of course, claiming that it is "Definitely an abduction attempt" is an act of faith.
It could also be memories of an episode of hypnagogic hallucination.
