January 1947, Chilham, Kent, U-K., a man:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

In the 2000s, Albert Rosales cited a story found in a 1988 book of British "mysteries" by Janet and Colin Bord. Believing that the creature in the story was "maybe hybrids of Chupacabra and other animals", he included the story in his catalog of "humanoid encounters."

The story was that in Chilham, Kent, England, in January 1947, a man at the Woolpack Inn, from the window of a room, saw a strange animal moving on the pilgrim's path towards the long Neolithic tumulus called Julliberrie's Grave.

The man was interested because the animal was black and seemed quite big, though not as big as a calf. He would have described it as a big dog, except that it was leapt in a rather feline manner. The beast passed behind the mound, the man expected to see it reappear but this was not the case. The man watched for a moment but did not see the strange animal again.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates that in Chilham, Kent, England, in January 1947 in the afternoon, a man standing at the Woolpack Inn saw from a bedroom window a strange animal moving across the Pilgrim's Way towards the Neolithic long barrow known as Julliberrie's Grave. It aroused his interest because the "animal" was black and it appeared quite big. It was not as big as calf. He would have described it as a big dog if it weren't for the fact that it was "loping" along, with that sort of sinuous lope one connects with cats rather than dogs. It went behind the mound, or barrow, and he waited for it to appear in the other side, but it didn't. He watched for a while but never saw the strange animal again.

The source is indicated as Janet & Colin Bord, "Modern Mysteries of Britain".

Albert Rosales comments that "it appears that these strange 'animals' maybe Chupacabra hybrids and the like have been around for quite some time."

Points to consider:

Not only do I see no connection between this story and the UFOs or their occupants, but in addition the strangeness is close to zero:

An animal that would be like a big dog, smaller than a calf (how much smaller?) and who leaps like a cat, may be just a large cat, or, if we accept the witness' puzzlement, a panther or some other feline escaped from a zoo or a circus. Then, "a hybrid of chupacabra" ... you really gotta have faith!
