In the 2000's author Albert Rosales found on the "Pine Bush UFO" sensation website a story - probably a web report - saying that in 1947, Griffiss Air Force Base, New York, USA, at 13:00, "Jackie, her brother and cousins" had gone to a local store to get some gum and as they headed down the country road.
Jackie noticed to her left what appeared to be a bright reflection, similar to a mirror being held to the sun. Being the adventuresome member of the four, she went off to investigate, and saw a large silvery round-shaped vehicle on the ground.
She approached the craft, and strangely a fence seemed to have popped up from the ground in few seconds, surrounding the vehicle. Her cousins tried to pull her but a being (not described) approached her and without moving its lips asked her what she was doing there. The being also said that they would not hurt her.
From that point she vaguely remembered her brother and cousins crying. Her next memory was of seeing her parents and her aunt walking along the road looking for them. They had been gone for 5 hours.
About three or four months after the encounter, a gentleman in military uniform came to Jackie's front door and spoke for a long time with her parents. She was told never to mention to anybody what had occurred.

4. Location. Near Griffith Air Force Base, New York Date: 1947 Time: 1300 The main witness, Jackie, her brother and cousins had gone to a local store to get some gum and as they headed down the country road Jackie noticed to her left what appeared to be a bright reflection, similar to a mirror being held to the sun. High Strangeness Index: 8 Reliability of Source: 7 Comments: unfortunately a description of the "being" is not given; this is definitely an unexplored abduction event. |
There is a "UFO Fair" every year in Pine Bush with UFO material and merchandising. Fringe ufologists gather and make wild claims, such as "evidence For An Underground Magnetic Focusing System An Entombed Triangular Alien Robotic Probe in Pine Bush," The source "Pine Bush UFO" is at www.pinebushufo.com but I was unable to find this story on this website.
Griffiss Air Force Base (not "Griffith" as noted in [ar1]) was a United States Air Force installation in the center of the State of New York state at Rome.
The problem here is obviously that of credibility, since it is a story probably sent via the web, moreover to clearly sensationalist website.
