It seems that Brazilian ufologist Jackson Luiz Camargo (born 1978) collected a report on a close encounter of the third kind that occurred in a place called Serra do Gordo, Brazil, on July 1939, late in the night.
Joao Lucindo told that he was a gold prospector and had been camping in an isolated area one night when a persistent loud whistling sound awakened him. The whistling sound was like nothing he had ever heard before. He walked to a nearby ravine to investigate the sound and at first could not see anything. The strange whistling continued throughout the night without Lucindo locating its source. Soon he noticed a peculiar light on some nearby woods and armed with a powerful lantern and a rifle he went to investigate.
As he approached the lighted circular area he suddenly felt he was unable to move any further. Suddenly he saw two very tall man-like figures approach; these were at least 1.80 meters in height. Both figures wore tight fitting metallic outfits that covered them from their feet to their necks. As a result of the light he could not distinguish their faces clearly but they appeared to be human in appearance.
The men suddenly spoke and told Lucindo to look up, as he did he saw an object hovering above the treetops about 40 meters away. The object resembled a metallic revolving disc shaped object. This object was apparently the source of the mysterious whistling.
As he looked at the object mesmerized a hatch opened slowly and he saw a very bright interior light. At this point the two tall humanoids grabbed Lucindo by his arms and all three rose slowly up into the object. Inside he saw what appeared an immense laboratory. He was given numerous examinations by the humanoids and was told that all this was somehow going to benefit his family.
Soon Lucindo was released and returned to his home near the campsite at around midnight, not able to explain to his family where he had been.
During the night Lucindo had a strange dream where the two humanoids told him exactly where to dig for gold the next time he prospected in the mountain. He said he did as he had dreamed and indeed found a rich vein of gold mineral, which did improve his family's fortunes.
It is said that "Vicente" Lucindo died in 1970 soon after he revealed to investigators about what had occurred decades before.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that Serra do Gordo, Brazil, on July 1939, late in the night, Joao Lucindo a gold prospector had been camping in an isolated area one night when a persistent loud whistling sound awakened him. [Ref. js1:] JEAN SIDER:
The author indicates that in July 1939, by night, in Serra do Gordo, Brazil, Joao Vicente Lucindo, gold digger, camped with his family in an isolated area, when he was awaken by a persistent whistling sound of a type he never heard before. It went on, he sought where it came from and located a particular light close to a wood. He grabbed a lantern and a rifle, moved towards it to see what it was.
While approaching, he noted that there was an illuminated circular area, and he was suddenly unable to make even one movement.
Two silhouettes of tall men appeared and moved towards him. They were at least 1,80 m in height, dressed of a metal suit which covered them from the feet to the neck. Thanks to the light, the witness clearly distinguished the two faces which seem to him of human appearance.
One of these men started to speak to the witness, he asked him to look to a precise direction. The witness obeyed and saw an object in lift above the trees at approximately forty meters. The object resembled a metal disc which rotated, and it was the cause of the whistling sounds. He then noticed a panel which opened slowly, letting see a brilliant light inside.
At this time, the witness was grabbed by the arms, the two men took him along and all the three rose slowly to the object as by magic. When he was inside, he believed to be in a huge laboratory, and he was submitted to various supposed body examinations and he was told that it will be beneficial for his family.
He was then brought back to ground and he went back to his camp about midnight, unable to explain to his family where he had been. He fell asleep again but during the night he made a strange dream in which both humanoids seen earlier told him where exactly to dig to find gold. The next day he followed their advice and discovered a rich gold ore seam which then brought fortune to all the family.
The witness died in 1970, little after having revealed his experience to the investigators.
Jean Sider indicates that the source is Albert Rosales, according to Jackson Camargo, GEPUC, Brazil.
Jean Sider comments that he is reserved about this affair because "the entities of the paranormal world" are "not known to make rich the people whom they contact, or even that they 'abduct'".
I did not find any other source, nor any place or mountain named Serra do Gordo in Brazil or in Latin America.
