FEBRUARY 11, 1939, WESTWOOD, PENNSYLVANIA, USA, SILVESTER SCOTT:
Brief summary of the event and follow-up:
Skeptical Fortean researcher Mark Chorvinski apparently reported in 1990 that in Westwood, Pennsylvania, USA on February 11, 1939 in the afternoon, farmer Sylvester Scott was spreading fertilizer when he noticed his dogs were excited.
Then, less than 50 feet away, he spotted a strange silent creature, which was 2 or 3 feet tall and colored like a deer in front, with white on the flanks. It had paws rather than hooves, a foot-long neck, a small head, and no tail. It jumped two feet in the air, ran across a field, and disappeared.
When the creature ran away the dogs refused to follow it.
He saw the creature three other times and heard its screams during the night.
