Ufologist Jacques Vallée brought back from a trip in the Soviet Union a story according to which in the province of Nizhegorodskaya, in Russia, in 1933, by night, Alexander V. Zolotov, who later became a scientist, then seven years old, met a strange humanoid.
Zolotov was reportedly alone in his room when the being suddenly appeared. It is described as a humanoid of average size with a high forehead, a head three times larger than the normal, big pointed ears, large penetrating and intelligent eyes, looking aged and lacking emotion, and a wrinkled skin. It had no mask or breathing apparatus.
The humanoid reportedly was on all four and jumped around like a frog, approximately 7 meters from Zolotov.
The child reportedly ran out of the room and did not see how the being left.
The story is also dated 1935 and is located in the area of Gorkovskaya, or "in Kalinin in Turkey ".

In his book UFO Chronicles of the Soviet Union (1992:90) ufologist Jacques Vallee quotes Professor Alexis Zolotov who proposes the existence of an informational field with a complexity beyond that of electromagnetic and biological fields. He seems to believe that UFOs may somehow access this realm. |

The Belgian ufologist notes a case of 1933, without more precise date, in Russia, in a place not specified, by publishing the following text:
(Chris Aubeck – see 1930, Barcelona) Ribera's story always reminds me of one told by Professor Alexis Zolotov, of the Geophysic Institute in Kalinin, Russia, about the day he saw a humanoid at the age of seven, in 1933. The being, which appeared very suddenly in his house, had a high cranium and wore "no mask or breathing apparatus." It was as tall as an adult human but "his head was three times larger than human's" and it also had pointed ears. Its face was wrinkled, its eyes conveying "great intelligence and lack of emotion. He had the look of a very old man." The boy ran away. When asked in 1990 whether he had kept his encounter a secret at the time, he answered that he did tell his parents about it. "They laughed at me. So I never mentioned it again for forty-two years." (J. Vallee, "UFO Chronicles of the Soviet Union: A Cosmic Samizdat" 1992, p97. Sadly, on October 8th, 1995, Zolotov was found murdered at the door of his own house in Tver.) (thanks to Chris Aubeck) |

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in the Nizhegorodskaya Province, Russia, in 1933, at night, "Seven-year old Alexander V Zolotov (who later became a well known Russian scientist) was alone in his room when a being suddenly appeared. The being was described as humanoid of average height with a high forehead and large head with large pointed ears. Its skin was wrinkled and it had large intelligent eyes. The humanoid stood on all fours and was jumping around like a frog. He was about 7 meters away from Zolotov. The alien had a calm and penetrating gaze completely emotionless. The witness ran from the room and did not see how the being left. The second source indicates the year was 1935 in the Gorkovskaya region."
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Jacques Vallee, UFO Chronicles of The Soviet Union Alexander B Petukhov and Anton Anfalov.
[Ref. ud1:] "UFODNA" WEBSITE:
The website says that in 1933 in "Kalinin, Turkey", "Humanoid tall as man, head three times normal size. Large pointed ears. Face covered with wrinkles. Eyes conveyed IQ, lack emotion. Witness ran away. Close encounter with a an unidentified craft and its occupants. One object, about twenty feet away, was observed at a house for 18 seconds (Zolotov). One 6-foot-tall goblin-like being was seen."
The source is indicated as Vallee, Jacques, UFO Chronicles of the Soviet Union: A Cosmic Samizdat, Ballantine Books, New York, 1992.
Professor Alexis Zolotov was a geologist, member of the Russian Academy of Science, who leader of the 1959 expedition to the Tunguska site where a "UFO", or a comet, exploded in 1908.
He said about it: "The Tunguska explosion took place in the air. There exists only two possibilities for such an explosion. Either it came from an internal energy source in the body, or the natural energy by its movement. I believe it was a nuclear explosion from an artificially made object...There is certainly some new type of radiation here. The explosion of a cosmic body has produced this new type of radiation field on the ground, at the center of the blast."
The book "Ufologie en Russie", by Russian ufologist Boris Shurinov, explains at length how Jacques Vallée was fed tall stories by Russian sensationalists ufologists he visited.
