Circa 1932 or November 1932, Leeds, Yorkshire-and-Humbert, U-K., people:
Brief summary of the event and follow-up:
In the 2010's, "skeptical" researcher Peter Rogerson entered in his "INTCAT" ufological catalogue a case he says come from "Ludlam 1967 p124", and is dated November 1932:
In Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, several people in a sub-let house in Fieldhead Terrace saw the figure of a man, 1.8 meters tall, wearing a long coat; which would disappear. "All sorts of odd noises were heard."
Further Comments: The knocking sounds from the attic occurred for several nights before a phantom six foot tall man in a long coat started to appear. The owner and all her tenants moved out in November 1932.

Points to consider:
The story was, insofar as my research has been sufficient, never published in the ufological literature except by Peter Rogerson.
Peter Rogerson [pr1] is right when he argues that researchers and writers "convinced" of the reality of extraterrestrial visits wanted to use ghost stories, fairies stories, as ancient stories of extraterrestrial visits. He is right because some so-called "convinced" researchers, not all, and some so-called "convinced" authors, not all, do this. But what is the purpose here, that Rogerson does himself published the story in the ufology field when nobody did before he did?
When so-called "skeptical" researchers publish their catalog, the same issues as with so-called "ET proponents" researchers show...
This, Peter Rogerson, here,
gives an unusable source reference "Ludlam 1967", when the title of the book, or at least the first name of the author, would have helped;
included in a catalog of vision of "entities" a vision of what is clearly said to be a man in his summary;
does not make any "evaluation" of this story, though he does it for many stories he published when they have an "extraterrestrial" tone, often indicating when it is significant that the story was reported late. This one too, it seems, but he does not underline it;
apparently omits the classification as "ghost story" that Paranormal Database has no trouble doing (in his summary the ghost is just a man);
makes no evaluation of the type "unrelated to UFOs" whereas it does this often when the story has an apparent "extraterrestrial" tone;
Give the date as "November 1932" whereas [pd1] gives this date not as the date of the event(s) but the date of the move of the residents; the date being apparently just "about 1932."
So, we have a story without searchable sources, without precise date(s), without precise address, without any quantitative information such as distances, durations, number of witnesses etc., without any details, without any witness name, without a trace of investigation, without a UFO, and of quite moderate strangeness.
