The NICAP ufology group apparently recorded that in Webster City, Iowa, in July 1919, at 11:00 a.m., a young brother and sister were playing in a farm area, when they suddenly heard a strange chirping sound resembling that of birds.
They turned around and saw a brown green object beneath a tree near a creek. They ran towards it, and then noticed a tall figure wearing brown and green, stern looking and standing at the door of the craft.
This figure then made some strange guttural sounds, and the witnesses then noticed a shorter figure wearing similar clothing running very fast towards the stream, and scoop some water out in something resembling a tin can.
The figure at the door apparently objected at him for taking the water, then helped the short being into the object, and slammed the door shut making a metallic sound.
The craft then rose straight up very fast, hitting the top branches of several trees. Ground marks were found at the site.
Ufologist Jerome Clark cited the sister as having written that after they "heard a chirping-like sparrows feeding," "We turned and saw a brown green object beneath the tree near the creek about 75 feet from us. We ran toward it before noticing a figure in green-brown (he was) stem looking (and) standing in the door which had been lowered to the ground and had steps. He startled us by making strange guttural sounds-then we noticed a shorter figure in the same clothes running toward the stream leading to the pond. He went very fast (and) dipped up some water in what looked like a tin can about the size of a small soup can. He got the water despite the protests of the man in the door. The one with the can was smaller than the one in the door. The big one hustled the little one into the vehicle and the door slammed shut. It made a metallic sound when it closed. The vehicle rose straight up very fast. The top of the vehicle hit the tree limbs and broke a few small branches off - all this without a sound of a motor. It raised (sic) straight up, then went sidewise and over the hill with it's (sic) three legs still down, no lights, no sound. We followed up the hill, but it soon left us and was out of sight. We went back to where it landed. The soil in a wide area where they had landed was covered with round spots that resembled cane marks".

Jerome Clark says that in early july 1919, a brother and a sister who lived on a farm in the Webster City area, Iowa, suddenly "heard a chirping-like sparrows feeding," the sister said. "We turned and saw a brown green object beneath the tree near the creek about 75 feet from us. Chris Aubeck listed "old" close encounter reports that need updating, reinvestigating or discarding, with 15 cases he had been unable to research any further, and with which he requested some help.
12) In July 1919 at Webster City, Iowa, a little being was observed scooping water into a can. When he realised he had been seen, he rushed off to an object resting on the ground nearby. Another entity emerged to help him and the craft took off so hastily that it snapped branches off the treetops as it brushed past them. (???) |

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Webster City, Iowa, in July 1919, at 11:00 a.m., a young brother and sister were playing in a farm area when suddenly they heard a strange chirping sound resembling that of birds. They turned around and saw a brown green object beneath a tree near a creek. [Ref. js1:] JEAN SIDER:
The author indicates that in July 1919 at 11:00, in Webster-City, Iowa, USA, two children, a brother and his sister, played in a farm yard when they suddenly heard a noise like a chirp of bird. They sought where it came from and saw a green object under a tree close to a brook.
They ran towards the thing and then noticed a tall human being wearing brown and green clothing, with a stern look, standing at the door of the object which proved to be a machine.
The being suddenly emitted strange guttural sounds, and the children noticed that a smaller human creature with identical clothes started to run towards the brook, moving very quickly. It drew water with something which resembled a can.
Then the tall being helped the smallest to bring back his water into the apparatus and when it was done he slammed the door noisily, for it made a strong metallic noise.
The air vessel then took height at high speed, running against the branches of several trees in its way. Traces of the machine were found on the site.
Jean Sider indicates that the source is Strange Magazine, #10, 1992, p. 7, article by J. Clark, according to files of the NICAP, now disappeared, an "American private group infiltrated by the CIA which published a small bulletin, UFO Investigator."
