One Mervi Virtanen, from Finland, reported who knows when, how and where, a case of 1914 which entered a ufology catalogue towards 2000.
It allegedly occurred in Alastaro, Finland, at the end of the August 1914, around midday.
Arvo Kuoppala, a 10-year-old boy, was sitting in the living room of a farm with his grandmother, Maria Falt, when suddenly, the outside darkened as if there had been a solar eclipse, and there was a loud blowing noise. Then, a "wall of bright light" came from the East, and little after a large shining sphere became visible.
The sphere approached the house and stopped outside the window, after what, an oval window opened on the side of the sphere, by which the top of two male beings was visible.
The tallest of the beings was in the center of the oval window, the second was more on the side but also quite visible. Their heads were large compared to their bodies, the faces were broad and angular, but the eyes seemed friendly. The being on the side was more of dwarfish size and looked "ugly."
Arvo was terrified at the thought that these men might come in through the window, but his grandmother ensured him that they will not do that, that they only had "something" to say.
The tallest humanoid now started to smile and speak, with his lips and face moving as if he spoke, but no voice was heard.
Arvo shouted in excitement, "he speaks, he is saying something", and right after that, the creature stopped speaking and the face suddenly disappeared inside the sphere, although no movement could be seen when the oval opening was closed.
After a while, a strong "thump" was heard, there was a flash of light and the object rose in the sky and left out of sight towards the West at high speed.
The sighting had lasted only a few minutes, but Arvo felt tired and immediately went to sleep, waking up later in the evening. His grandmother seemed to have foreseen the event and told him later that these strangers did not come from the sky, but from a far away place, and than the sphere was built to travel on short distances, that it had come from a "sky" ship to which it returned.
She told about the beings that they had large heads and were much more intelligent than the humans, that they were linked to us in some way, and that they visit us from time to time.
She thus seemed to know a lot about these visitors, and claimed to have made a sighting herself in earlier years, but no details are provided about it.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Alastaro, Finland, in the end of August 1914, about noon, A 10-year old boy, Arvo Kuoppala was sitting in the living room of a farmhouse with his grandmother, Maria Falt, when suddenly it became dark outside like an eclipse of the sun, and a loud blowing noise could be heard. Then a bright wall of light came from the east and soon after a large shining globe became visible. The globe approached the house and stopped outside the window, after which, an oval window opened on its side through which the top part of two male beings could be seen. The larger one of the beings was in the middle of the oval-shaped window, the second was more to the side but also well visible. Their heads were large in comparison to their bodies, the faces were broad and angular, but the eyes appeared friendly. The being that was standing on the side was more midget-like and looked "ugly". Arvo became terrified by the thought that the men could come in through the window, but his grandmother assured him that they would not, that they only had "something" to say. The larger humanoid now began to smile and started to speak. His lips and face moved as if he was speaking but no voice was heard. Arvo exclaimed with excitement, "He is talking, he is saying something" and immediately after the creature ceased talking and the face abruptly disappeared inside the globe, although no movement could be seen when the oval opening closed. After a moment a loud "thump" was heard, and then a bright flash and the object rose to into the sky and vanished towards the west with great speed. The observation had lasted only some minutes, but Arvo felt tired and went immediately to sleep, waking up later in the evening. His grandmother seems to have anticipated the event and she later told Arvo that the strangers were not from heaven, but from a distant place, and the globe was intended to travel short distances and that it had come from a "sky" ship to which it had also returned. Of the beings she said that they had large heads and were much more intelligent than humans, but somehow were related to us, and visited now and then. It seems clear that she had a lot of information about the humanoids and she claimed to have made an observation by herself years earlier (no details on that).
Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Mervi Virtanen, Finland.
[Ref. js1:] JEAN SIDER:
Jean Sider indicates that in the end of August 1914, about midday, in Alastaro, in Finland, Arvo Kuppala, a ten-year-old boy, was sitting in the living room of the family farm with his grandmother Maria Falt.
Suddenly, the daylight outside made place to the darkness like in a solar eclipse, and a strong noise of blow was heard, then, a shining wall of light came from the East, soon followed by a large shining sphere; which approached the house and stopped near a window of the dwelling.
An oval opening took shape in this sphere, and two human beings of male appearance appeared in its higher part.
They had large heads compared to their body, broad and angular faces. One was very tall and the other was "a dwarf with an ugly body." Their behavior seemed friendly.
The boy was terrified by the thought that the beings might enter the house through the window, his grandmother reassured him by saying that nothing will happen to them and that these beings have undoubtedly something to tell them.
The smallest being then started to smile and to speak, with its face and its lips moving as if it were talking, but its voice was not perceived. The boy exclaimed: "He speaks! He is saying something!"
Immediately afterwards, the tallest being ceased expressing himself, for his face became motionless and his lips did not move anymore.
A while later, a deaf thump was heard, then a shining flash manifested itself, and the sphere rose in the sky and disappeared towards the west at high speed.
The observation lasted a few minutes, and Arvo felt so tired that he immediately went to sleep, and awoke later in the evening.
His grandmother "seems to have anticipated the event" and she thereafter told to the boy that these foreigners did not come in a spaceship, but from a very distant place, that the sphere was intended only to cover short distances, and that it came from a celestial ship where it returned.
She told him that these occupants have a very large head because they are more intelligent than the human beings, than they are closely linked to our species in an unspecified manner, and than they visit us from time to time.
Jean Sider comments that Martha Falt must have had a number of information on these humanoids, probably obtained after at least one previous contact with the entities, since she claimed to Arvo that she made a sighting in previous years, about which Jean Sider says his source did not give him any detail.
Jean Sider indicates that his source Albert Rosales, according to Mervi Virtanen, Finland.
The event allegedly occurred in 1914. But nothing indicates that it was reported in any manner until recently. Hence it cannot be claimed to be authentic because it is old. Moreover, reports of close encounters with beings from other planets were not something new in 1914, as earlier cases were reported earlier.
So all there is to demonstrate that the story is authentic or not seems to be here, and it is clearly insufficient.
