In their second book on the Belgium flap, SOBEPS gave some information about this case to show that other cases had similarities with that in Basècles:
They indicate that a similar case occurred in the night from November 29 to 30 1989 at the factory “Edel” in Jupille, but the investigation has not been carried out satisfactorily, so it was not publicized.
They simply say that “Edel” factory workers who were witnesses of the phenomenon had used the same expression as the Basècles plant witnesses to report their impressions: “It looked like an aircraft carrier turned upside down!”

There is a summary for this observation, published on the web by the Belgian ufologist Godelieve Van Overmeire in her catalog circa 1999, now gone, but much copied by UFO websites and forums. This summary is as follows:
1989, November 29
BELGIUM, Jupille
Huge object like an aircraft carrier upside down over the “Edel” plants - no other information available, the factory management opposing the publication of details. (VOB 1 - SOBEPS 1991, pp. 209 and pers doc vog: cfr see 1990, April 22 Basècles: same kind of object...)
Source example:
It is indicated that this sighting occurred in the night.
Jupille-sur-Meuse is right next to Liège. I was unable to locate the “Edel” factory. It was perhaps in the area of the “rue de l'usine” (“Factory street”), and maybe it does not exist anymore or changed name.
