SOBEPS indicates that there was a sighting on November 29, 1989, at 7 p.m. in Jalhay, of a 15-meters craft, with one witness, quoted saying:
“(...) a luminous object flying at treetop level (...). I realized that this object, motionless, had the form of three adjacent vertical quadrilaterals, of a yellowish-white light. They looked like windows of a large bungalow. I think the dimensions were 2 by 5 meters each. There was a flashing yellow light at mid-height of the left quadrilateral. Twice, the object moved zigzags, fast.”

There is a summary for this observation, published on the web by the Belgian ufologist Godelieve Van Overmeire in her catalog circa 1999, now gone, but much copied by UFO websites and forums. This summary is as follows:
1989, November 29
BELGIUM, Jalhay-Stembert
7 p.m.: The witness is traveling by car on the N672 to Stembert along the wood of Jalhay. At treetop height in the wood of Cossart she saw an intriguing bright object and she slowed down. The object seemed motionless to her and consisted of three large vertical adjacent quadrilaterals of a bright yellowish-white, like the windows of a large bungalow. Each “window” was about 2 by 5 m. Halfway around the left window there was a flashing orange light. Its distance from the witness was about 1 km. Twice, this whole moved in zigzag over short distances. She observed this phenomenon over a distance of 2 km, for ten minutes. She lost it from sight as she drove on to Stembert. (Inforespace n. 78, p. 23)

The lady drove between Jalhay and Stembert. The wood of Jalhay is at the red square, along the “Route du Bois de Jalhay”, Jalhay Wood road.
In the area and in these times, there have been several reports describing these kinds of lined and illuminated “windows”. To “UFO skeptics”, these are the lighted windows of a helicopter.
Here, it is difficult to draw conclusions, the distance given is too important, two kilometers. The sizes indications cannot make much sense at such a distance for an unidentified object.
