Summary:

On July 14, 2022, "Professor Djack", a Bas-Rhin resident with a local news blog, published on Dailymotion a 37-second video titled "Unidentified Flying Object", dated July 14, 2002, indicated to have been taken in Brumath.

The video shows a white dot, 11 pixels in diameter, on a black background. The soundtrack indicates that the witness wondered what it is and expressed that it did not appear to be an airplane.

Brumath Unidentified Flying Object in the Sky July 14, 2022

Discussion:

The luminous dot seems to keep a constant brightness, whereas Chinese lanterns usually show some twinkling as their flame flickers. The luminous dot appears totally white, whereas Chinese lanterns show - most often - an orange coloring.

This is why I think it was probably a LED balloon.

Obviously July 14, the national day, is a good time to release this kind of thing.
