Around 2020, there was on the Web an observation report collected by the ufologist and author Daniel Robin, about an observation dated September 6, 2019 and located in Mulhouse.
The anonymous witness indicated that following a musical moment in his music room, he was quietly returning home in his car, when at the first crossroads, when turning, he saw very distinctly an "object of unknown shape, very low compared to the planes that usually fly over our city."
It is described as being the size of a large airplane, but without wings, slightly thinner in the middle, and having a light at each end: a white light in front, and a light that changes from white to red at the back.
He found this object "extremely weird" and wondered what it was, he said the object was "a little slowed down which makes me feel like it's quite far" but it was so big that he thought he should be able to hear it. So he rolled down the window of my car to listen, but there was only an impressive silence, he could not even hear the cars anymore although there was a lot of traffic there.
He says he had the impression that the object noticed that he was watching it, and that it left, straight. He saw itm disappear far away in the city. The witness added that his "movement is like in the special effects of movies, without noise" and that after a while, he had the impression that the light was no longer shrinking.
But he could not go towards the object, as it was going in a different direction than the one he driving.

Following a musical moment in my music room, I quietly returned home with my car. At the first crossroads, when turning I see an object of unknown shape, very low compared to the planes which usually fly over our city. I see it very distinctly, it is the size of a large plane, but without wings slightly thinner in the middle and at each end a light. A white one in front and one that changes from white to red behind.
I find it extremely weird as an object, I wonder what it is, it's a bit slowed down which makes me feel like it's quite far away but it's so big that I say to myself that I should be able to hear it. I lower the window of my car to listen if I hear him, but it's impressively silent, I can't even hear the cars anymore when there's a lot of traffic there. I had the impression that it noticed that I was watching him and that it left. The object spun straight and I see it disappearing in the distance in the city. Its movement is like in the special effects of the movies, without noise. After a while I feel like the light is no longer shrinking but I can't go to the object that went in the other direction so I lose it.

Daniel Robin is not the witness but a French author / ufologist particularly interested in "triangular UFOs", and who collects such testimonies.
The sighting is located in Mulhouse, but it seems obvious that it is not happening downtown. The witness is driving, and the lack of strangeness and precise details (angular size, duration, etc.) mean that one cannot rule out that it was an observation of an airplane in landing approach to the Basel - Mulhouse Euro Airport - such occurrences are not uncommon.
