ALSACAT-2019-02-08-BATZENDORF-1
A 22-year-old young man from Batzendorf in the Haut-Rhin, introducing himself as a UFO observation enthusiast, registered since 2014 on the ufological forum "Les Mystères des OVNIS", where he submits his testimonies, which the participants explain or comment. The following testimony is his fifth observation.
He indicates, half an hour after the sighting, that on February 8, 2019, at 6:35 p.m., he was in his mother's car as she was driving, returning from Wintershouse to their home in Batzendorf. He was looking by the door window when he saw in the sky 4 lights, 3 yellow and one red, flashing "oddly and rather quickly" - he publishes reconstructions images of the order of flashing.
It seemed stationary and very high in the sky. He indicates that the flashing repeated at least 5 times during the observation, which he says lasted 5 minutes.
On the forum, members tried to find a plane or helicopter that would have been there, but in vain.

The object appeared to be stationary and very high in the sky. Here are several sketches explaining the blinking of the lights (it is repeated at least 5 times during the observation, but it was rather fast and I didn't really count so in 5 minutes, it could very well be much more). -step 1: https://i.servimg.com/u/f82/18/44/40/76/ovni_110.jpg -step 2: https://i.servimg.com/u/f82/18/44/40/76/ovni_210.jpg -step 3: https://i.servimg.com/u/f82/18/44/40/76/ovni_310.jpg -step 4: https://i.servimg.com/u/f82/18/44/40/76/ovni_410.jpg The object seems to me to be in an area between batzendorf and wintershouse. note: for me, it's not a triangle object. Precise description: 4 lights (3 yellow and one red) that flash Color: Size of the phenomenon: Behavior: stationary movements [sic] Trajectory: unspecified Specific noise: No Specific odor: No Direction of the object according to the wind: controlled/independent movement Presence of facilities: industrial zone villages of batzendorf and wintershouse Similar photo: not specified Table: not specified Contact made with the witness: yes Investigator in charge of the file: I hereby certify the accuracy of the information provided and the authenticity of the documents provided. I don't know how to identify this phenomenon, thank you in advance for your answers. Regards aurelien wolff |

Because you were yourself on the move, it seems to me. On your sketch the 4 lights if one connects them delimits a triangle (3 aligned on the same axis and one isolated perpendicular to this axis) but you say that it was not one, why? what was its shape according to you? |

(there was no sound emitted by the object in question, but just in case). |

However, I doubt that we find that of the Gendarmerie for example or those of Camp La Horie de Phalsbourg. Only civilian aircraft are visible, not military ones. CU |
The trip from Wintershouse to Batzendorf, by car, takes about 7 minutes.
It seems to me that what intrigued the witness is the rapidity of the flashing. No doubt he perceived that this flashing was too fast to be the navigation beacons of an airplane or helicopter: "For me it's not one because of the very fast flashing of the lights".
As a result, there is a possible explanation, that of LED balloons.
These balloons often have a setting that allows deciding whether they should flash or not, and offer various flashing patterns.
LED balloons are most often sold in packs of several, of different colors, for example 5 Euros for 5 balloons, they can be found by online purchase and in stores in the same department as the "Chinese lanterns."
Releasing LED balloons is not as complicated as flying a drone or Chinese lanterns, no authorization is required.
Above: LED balloons sold in a store in Mulhouse.
Possible LED balloons.
