ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. Summary:

A man sent me an email on July 16, 2014, saying he had seen a UFO over Molsheim that morning at 10:39 from the highway at the level of "hittenheim". The UFO was above Molsheim, it flew in a straight line to Rosheim and Obernai and further maybe, then accelerated in the same direction but going up to the sky.

The man called it a "UFO" because according to him neither a small plane nor a drone would fly so low over Molsheim, nor so quickly during the ascent.

He added that he also saw six orange balls on July 14 at 01:30 in Gresswiller, and that when he returned to his car, all the radio stations had changed.

Finally, he had seen three orange balls lined up above Saverne, it seems to him, in May.

Hello,,i saw,this morning 10:39, from the highway at the level of hittenheim a ufo above Molsheim flying in straight line until Rosheim and Obernai and maybe further on,,then it accelerated in the same direction but going up to the sky,,,i say ufo becaus a small plane would no fly as low on molsheim and as fast during its assent,no dron is capable of that too,,,,,,,also saw 6 orange balls on july 14 at 0:h30 in gresswiller,and by going back into the car,all the radio stations had changed,,,also saw three orange balls alined above it seems to me in the month of may,,,is there a meeting club about thes phrnomen in Alsace???thanks

Discussion:

About the UFO over Molsheim: no description of the thing is given. There is no reason to exclude a Chinese lantern, especially as the timeframe is favorable, and the other cases mentioned, especially for July 14, seem to have been Chinese lanterns.

Hittenheim does not exist. Not far from two highways, the A35 and the A352, and not far from Molsheim, is Innenheim.

Evaluation:
