In early March 2014, I found testimony on a website about UFOs.
It said that the observation took place in the Haut-Rhin, in February 2014 - the day was not specified - at 10:40 p.m.
The male witness said it happened "in the woods between Masevaux and Lauw," he was driving the car while his girlfriend was on the phone with the female cousin of the male witness.
He stated: "Suddenly, while my girlfriend was still on the phone, when suddenly her mobile phone went out" - off, or just disconnected, this is not specified. "At the same time a blue / green disc shaped craft passed over my car at an incredible speed! This craft took a path that no plane could reproduce. I looked at my girlfriend, she was in shock I told her: "You saw the same thing I saw?," she replied , "nobody will believe us!"
He gave the length of the observation as about 5 seconds.
And he added: "This moment does not get out of my mind, I had to talk about it even if I'm called a crackpot."

We were driving in the wood between Masevaux and Lauw, I was driving while my girlfriend was on the phone with my cousin. Suddenly, while my girlfriend was still on the phone, when suddenly her mobile shuts off. At the same time a blue/green disc-shaped craft passed over my car at an incredible speed! This craft took a path that no aircraft could reproduce! I looked at my girlfriend, she was in shock! I said: "Did you see the same that thing I saw?" She answered: "no one will believe us!"
This moment doesn't leave my mind, I had to talk about it even if I'm called a crackpot..

Lauw is 2.9 kilometers southeast of Masevaux through the main road D466, the single logical way, and it is largely in the woods. This allowed me to put the geographical coordinates at the central point of this path with an accuracy ray of 1.5 kilometers.

Traveling virtually and by day the stretch of road between Masevaux and Lauw to find a nightclub there; which could have used a SkyTracer, I found none.
In Masevaux, there is "Le Phoenix" , 7 Clemenceau square. A SkyTracer there would have been visible, right in front of the road from Lauw to Masevaux. But it is a small bar, not really a nightclub.
Within 20 kilometers of Masevaux there is "La Cigale" in Magny, but well after Lauw, about 24 km to the south; "Chez Brigitte" in Aspach-le-Haut, but 14 km to the east; "Le Capri II", in La Chapelle-sous-Rougemont, 9 km in the South of Masevaux but looking to me as a restaurant. None of these places seems to be the sort who would use a SkyTracer, but who knows... None are really close and visual obstacles on the course, e.g. trees, almost everywhere, make me doubt a distant projector would have been visible "above" the car. But I obviously cannot guarantee anything.
I tried the solution of a discotheque projector with some reasons, as a number of cases in the area were indeed explained that way.
Here, it is hardly convincing, if the UFO indeed flew above the car.
Other possibilities come to mind: a helicopter - but wouldn't it have been heard? Or a blue-colored Chinese lantern.
The failure of the mobile phone is something to note. However this may be a coincidence, a normal loss of network. I know that there are places, villages nearby, where there is no mobile phone network available, but for this particular stretch of road I do not know. If I have the opportunity to make that trip, maybe I could find out that there is a usual loss of network there.
In short, the case remains for me an "unidentified" but not necessarily a "non-identifiable". Angular size, angular velocity, reconstruction at the scene would probably help... But the witnesses being unidentified, I'm stuck.
