On March 15, 2012, Arnaud reported to the website of the Swiss ufology group GREPI an observation the day before, March 14, 2012, at 09:39 p.m.
He and his girlfriend Jessica, from the Bas-Rhin, were stargazing and saw a few planes pass by.
Suddenly, they both gasped when a light crossed the sky from one end to the other just above them:
"From an elongated circle emanated a bluish white light. The center of the circle was black, like the sky, and gave the impression of being hollow."
"Note that the edges of the trail were brighter than its middle."
"We each made a sketch and recorded conversations of an airliner that was heading from Gresswiller towards the fort of Mutzig."

Some capital information is missing, such as the exact location of the witnesses and especially the observation duration.
I would also have liked to know what the pilot could have seen; apparently Arnaud had a scanner and listened to air traffic conversations.
For the rest, it is unlike anything known. A nightclub projector leaves no trail, a meteor does not have a dark center, etc.
So for now this case remains an "unidentified" to me, unfortunately not investigated, poorly documented, without checking.
