ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

The star that announces the emerging of Maitreya

"In the very near future, people everywhere will have the opportunity to witness an extraordinary sign and of great reaching. The unique opportunity, in the course of history, where a similar sign was shown, was the birth of Jesus. According to Christian tradition, in heaven then appeared a star that guided the three wise men from the East to the birthplace. Soon, once again, will be seen around the world a light source of a powerful burst, like a star. "[The Master Benjamin Creme, Maitreya's first interview, Share International, January-February 2009]

On December 12, 2008, Share International distributed a news release announcing that in the very near future a large, bright star would appear in the sky visible throughout the world, day and night, heralding the imminent appearance of Maitreya in his first interview on one of the biggest TV channels in the United States. Since early January 2009, this star appeared in the world and hundreds of sightings have been sent to Partage International. Here we publish a selection of stories that appeared in the media, players and images from YouTube. Master Benjamin Creme confirmed that it is the 'star'.

[Ref. amu1:] ALAIN MOREAU:

One finds, on the website and in the magazine "Partage International", photographs of the 'star'. I give below a list of observations of "star" confirmed as authentic by Master Benjamin Creme, dated observations from December 2008 to March 2009. (Subsequent observations are discussed in "The star and the World teacher.")

We also find the image on, a website that claims the "Return of the Masters of Wisdom and the World Teacher, Maitreya", captioned: "France: Taken in Brumath by R.K. January 2, 2009." And it is found on several websites of this sort...

You see it in my ALSACAT catalog, sects, illuminated and hogwash merchants are not at all the main cause of Alsatian UFO sighting reports. But sometimes, cults and sects use UFO reports to peddle their esoteric-new-age stuff: books of so-called "spirituality" prophesize "the third millenary", "powers" are proclaimed here and there, generally using the "worst" of ufology.

Here, I think someone who believes this "Maitreya" nonsense took, like others did, a photo or video of Venus with the zoom fully on, sincerely thinking to have captured a sign of the return of "Jesus Maitreya"...

Note this clue of complete hogwash: this same thumbnail image credited to someone in Brumath, when clicked to enlarge, is credited to another chap, from Germany...

I do not think it is really necessary to check the presence of Venus in the sky in Brumath January 2, 2009.

See: Stills from a video of Venus mistaken for a UFO.
